Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! It is a testament to His grace and power that you have experienced such improvement, and we give Him all the glory for this work in you. The fact that you are crying out to Him and seeking lasting change is evidence of the Holy Spirit’s conviction and your desire to walk in holiness. This is not a small thing—it is the beginning of true freedom.

The struggles you mention—pornography, masturbation, flirting outside of godly boundaries, and other sexual sins—are not merely personal failings but offenses against God’s holy design for purity. The Bible is clear that sexual immorality defiles the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). These sins also distort God’s gift of sexuality, which He created to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:24). Flirting, when it stirs up lust or leads to emotional or physical unfaithfulness, is a form of dishonesty and can become a stumbling block to both you and others. We must guard our hearts and minds, for "the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" (Jeremiah 17:9). Even when progress is made, the enemy seeks to lure us back into bondage, whispering lies that we are powerless or that "just a little" sin is harmless. But Scripture warns us: "Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall" (1 Corinthians 10:12).

We must also address the root of these sins. Often, they are not just about physical acts but about deeper issues—idolatry, where we seek comfort, validation, or escape in something other than God; pride, where we believe we can manage sin on our own; or unhealed wounds, where we use these behaviors to numb pain. The apostle Paul writes, "For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live" (Romans 8:13). This is not a one-time battle but a daily surrender to the Holy Spirit’s work in us.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who died to break the power of sin and rose again to give us new life. Lord, we lift up our brother to You, thanking You for the work You have already done in his life. We ask that You would complete this good work in him, for Your glory and his sanctification (Philippians 1:6). Father, we confess that these sins have no place in the life of a believer, and we repent on his behalf, asking for Your forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9).

Lord, we ask that You would renew his mind daily through Your Word (Romans 12:2). Let Your truth be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105). Give him wisdom to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the strength to resist temptation (James 4:7). Father, we pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, so that he may walk in purity and self-control (Galatians 5:16). Break every chain of addiction, every lie that tells him he cannot overcome, and every habit that seeks to enslave him. Set him free, Lord, for "if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

We ask that You would heal any wounds or emptiness that these sins have sought to fill. Replace every false comfort with the true peace and joy that come from abiding in You (John 15:4-5). Give him godly accountability, surround him with brothers in Christ who will encourage him in his walk, and help him to flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). Lord, we pray that You would give him a holy hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness. Let him not be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of his mind (Romans 12:2).

Father, we also pray for his future marriage, that You would prepare him to be a godly husband who loves his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Guard his heart from all impurity, so that he may enter into marriage with a clean conscience and a pure heart. If he is not yet married, we ask that You would lead him to a godly wife who shares his faith and commitment to You, and that their relationship would be a testimony to Your goodness and design.

Lord, we ask that You would speak to him clearly, giving him understanding and discernment. Let him hear Your voice above all others, and let him find his identity and worth in You alone (Colossians 3:3). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception in the name of Jesus Christ, and we command them to flee. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, so that he may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for him.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You will complete the work You have begun in him. May his life be a testimony to Your power and grace, drawing others to You. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Now, brother, we encourage you to take practical steps to walk in this freedom. First, immerse yourself in God’s Word daily. Meditate on Scriptures that speak to purity, such as Psalm 51, 1 Corinthians 6:9-20, and 2 Timothy 2:22. Memorize verses that you can call to mind when temptation comes. Second, seek accountability. Share your struggle with a trusted, mature Christian brother who can pray with you, check in on you, and speak truth into your life. Third, guard your heart by setting boundaries—avoid places, people, or media that tempt you, and replace those habits with godly ones, such as prayer, worship, and serving others. Fourth, fast and pray regularly. Fasting is a powerful way to humble yourself before God and seek His face (Joel 2:12). Finally, remember that victory is not about your strength but about relying on Christ. As Paul writes, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The same God who began this good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). Walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, and let your life be a light that points others to Him.

We're here with you, brother, praying for your complete freedom from these struggles. We're so glad to see the progress you've made, and we're cheering you on! We know that lasting change comes from a heart transformed by God's love, not just from trying harder. So, let's ask the Lord to do a deep work in you, renewing your mind and filling you with His Holy Spirit.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the progress we've seen in our brother's life. We ask that You would continue Your good work in him, breaking every chain of sin and addiction. Give him a hunger for Your Word, Lord, and help him to meditate on it daily. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the power to resist temptation and walk in purity.

We also ask for wisdom, Lord. Help him to understand the root causes of these sins and to address them honestly and courageously. Give him godly accountability, surrounding him with brothers in Christ who will encourage him and hold him accountable.

We declare that our brother is free in Christ Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of lust, addiction, and deception, commanding them to flee in Jesus' name. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, so that he may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for him.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You will complete the work You've begun in him. Help him to walk in this freedom, letting his life be a light that points others to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, brother, keep seeking the Lord with all your heart. Immerse yourself in His Word, seek accountability, guard your heart, fast and pray regularly, and remember that victory comes through Christ who strengthens you. You're not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, and don't grow weary in doing good. The same God who began this good work in you will bring it to completion. Walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, and let your life be a light that points others to Him.
