Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and progress the Lord Jesus Christ has already brought into your life! Your heartfelt cry for deliverance and transformation is a powerful testimony of His grace at work in you. The fact that you are seeking lasting change—not just temporary relief—shows a deep desire to honor God with your whole life. We stand with you in prayer, lifting you before the throne of grace, where true freedom is found.

First, we want to affirm that your struggle is not unique, but neither is it insurmountable. The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 7:18-20, *"For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good. For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, this I practice."* Even the great apostle wrestled with the tension between the flesh and the Spirit. But he did not stop there—he declared the victory we have in Christ: *"Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord!"* (Romans 7:24-25). This is your promise too. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you to break every chain of sin.

The sins you mentioned—pornography, masturbation, and inappropriate flirting—are not merely bad habits; they are distortions of God’s good design for intimacy and purity. The world often treats these things as harmless or even normal, but Scripture calls us to a higher standard. Jesus warned in Matthew 5:28, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* This is not to condemn you but to remind you of the seriousness of these struggles and the freedom Christ offers. He did not come to shame you but to save you—to set you free from the power of sin and to renew your mind.

We must also address the root of these struggles. Often, sexual sin is not just about physical temptation but about deeper needs—loneliness, boredom, stress, or a longing for intimacy that only God can fully satisfy. Psalm 107:9 declares, *"For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good."* When your heart is truly satisfied in Christ, the allure of sin loses its power. This is why renewing your mind is so critical. Romans 12:2 urges, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the lies you’ve believed—lies that say these sins are "no big deal" or that you "can’t overcome them." Replace those lies with the truth of God’s Word.

Practical steps are also essential in this battle. Flee from temptation—literally. 2 Timothy 2:22 says, *"Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."* This may mean installing accountability software on your devices, avoiding certain environments or relationships that trigger temptation, and filling your mind with Scripture instead of impurity. Memorize verses like 1 Corinthians 10:13: *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* God always provides a way out—you must choose to take it.

We must also emphasize the importance of community. You cannot fight this battle alone. James 5:16 instructs, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Find a trusted, mature believer—perhaps a pastor, mentor, or accountability partner—with whom you can be honest about your struggles. Shame thrives in secrecy, but light dispels darkness. When you bring your sin into the light, it loses its power over you.

Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and transformation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this dear brother’s life. We thank You for the progress he has made and for his hunger to live fully for You. Lord, we ask that You would complete the good work You have begun in him. Break every chain of addiction, every stronghold of lust, and every lie that tells him he cannot be free. Renew his mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit, replacing every impure thought with Your truth. Father, satisfy his soul with Your presence so that he no longer seeks fulfillment in sin but finds his joy and peace in You.

We pray for wisdom and discernment, Lord. Show him the root causes of these struggles and lead him to the resources, people, and strategies that will help him walk in purity. Give him the courage to flee from temptation and the strength to stand firm when the enemy attacks. Surround him with godly men who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable. Let him experience the freedom that comes from living in obedience to You.

We also pray for healing, Father. Heal the wounds in his heart that may have led him to seek comfort in sin. Restore his view of sexuality to Your perfect design—holy, pure, and beautiful within the covenant of marriage. Let him see himself as You see him: a new creation in Christ, redeemed, forgiven, and called to walk in righteousness.

Lord, we ask that You would speak to him clearly. Let him hear Your voice above all others, guiding him, comforting him, and leading him into all truth. Give him a fresh revelation of Your love and grace, so that he is motivated not by fear or guilt but by a deep desire to honor You with his life.

We declare over him the promise of 1 John 1:9: *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We thank You for Your forgiveness and for the power of the blood of Jesus that cleanses him from all sin. May he walk in the freedom and victory that Christ died to give him.

Father, we also pray for protection over his mind, his eyes, and his heart. Guard him from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let every tongue that rises against him in judgment be condemned.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. We believe that as we pray according to Your will, You hear us, and we have the petitions we have asked of You. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your love. May this brother walk in the fullness of the freedom You have purchased for him, to the glory of Your name. Amen.

Continue to press into God’s presence, dear brother. The battle is real, but the victory is already won. Every time you choose righteousness over sin, you are building spiritual muscle. Every time you run to God instead of to temptation, you are strengthening your faith. You are not defined by your struggles but by the One who has overcome them. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you.

Dear friend, we're right there with you, cheering you on in your journey towards complete freedom. We're so glad to see the progress you've made, and we're here to remind you that you're not alone in this fight.

We want to encourage you with a verse from Psalm 18:2, which says, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." God is your refuge, your shield, and your stronghold. He is your rock, and He is faithful. Trust in Him, and He will deliver you from the temptations that come your way.

We also want to remind you of the importance of accountability. As it says in Ecclesiastes 4:10, "If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up." Find a trusted friend, a mentor, or a pastor who you can be open with about your struggles. They can help keep you accountable and pray for you.

Lastly, remember that God is always with you. As it says in Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." God is always by your side, ready to help and strengthen you. Trust in Him, and He will give you the victory.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come before you today, thanking you for the progress our ### has made. We ask that you would continue to work in their life, breaking every chain of sin, and renewing their mind. Give them the strength to flee from temptation, and the courage to stand firm in their faith. Surround them with godly men and women who will encourage them, pray for them, and hold them accountable. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
