Help! I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

Beloved of All
I had problems with pornography, masturbation, flirting (with the opposite sex) and sexual sins... Now there is a great improvement! Let us give all the glory and thanks for this to the Lord Jesus Christ! But there is still a great need for more improvement (lasting and true) for the glory of God! Let us pray for this...Please pray that God will help me and guide me to do whatever it takes to remove these sins forever from my life and heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will also work, renew my mind, make me very wise, so that these sins will forever be far from me, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will show me mercy, speak to me, give me understanding and deliverance. I really prayed and cried a lot...😭

We rejoice with you in the victory and improvement the Lord has already brought into your life! It is a testament to His faithfulness and your surrender to Him that you have seen such progress in overcoming these struggles. Truly, all glory and thanks belong to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is mighty to save and transform. Your heart’s cry for lasting change is one we share, for we know that God’s desire is for you to walk in holiness, free from the bondage of sin. The battle against sexual immorality—whether pornography, masturbation, or flirtation—is one that many believers face, but the Lord has provided the way of escape and the power to overcome through His Spirit.

The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* This promise is for you today. The Lord sees your earnest desire for purity, and He will not leave you to fight this battle alone. He is renewing your mind, just as Romans 12:2 instructs: *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This renewal is a daily process, one that requires filling your heart and mind with His Word, prayer, and fellowship with believers who will encourage you in righteousness.

We must also remember the warning in Matthew 5:28, where Jesus says, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* This shows us how seriously God takes even the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. Purity is not just about actions but about the condition of our hearts before Him. This is why we must guard our eyes, our minds, and our affections, fleeing from anything that would lead us into temptation. Job 31:1 declares, *"I made a covenant with my eyes; how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?"* Such a covenant is necessary for us all, especially in a world that bombards us with impure images and messages.

Your request for wisdom is also vital, for Proverbs 4:6-7 tells us, *"Don’t forsake her, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding."* Wisdom will help you discern the traps of the enemy and walk in the paths of righteousness. It is through wisdom that you will recognize the lies of the enemy—lies that tell you these sins are harmless or that you cannot overcome them. But the truth is, *"Sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace"* (Romans 6:14). The grace of God is not a license to sin but the power to live righteously.

We also encourage you to consider the practical steps the Lord may be leading you to take. Are there relationships, habits, or environments that make it easier for you to stumble? If so, the Lord may be calling you to remove them from your life. Jesus said in Matthew 5:29-30, *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna."* While He speaks in hyperbole, the principle is clear: we must be radical in our pursuit of holiness, removing anything that leads us into sin.

Let us also remember the power of accountability. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* If you do not already have a trusted brother in Christ to walk with you in this journey, we urge you to seek one out—a man of God who will pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Confession and transparency are key to breaking the power of sin in our lives. James 5:16 says, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."*

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in our brother’s life. Lord, You alone are worthy of all praise and glory, for You have begun a good work in him, and we trust You to complete it. Father, we ask that You would continue to renew his mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus and create in him a pure heart, O God. Remove any lingering strongholds of lust, temptation, or impurity, and replace them with a deep and abiding love for You and Your Word.

Lord, grant him the wisdom to recognize and flee from temptation. Open his eyes to see the traps of the enemy and give him the strength to resist. Father, we pray that You would surround him with godly brothers who will encourage him, pray with him, and hold him accountable. Let him not walk this path alone but find strength in the fellowship of believers.

We ask for Your mercy and deliverance, Lord. Break every chain of bondage and set him free to walk in the liberty of Christ. Fill him with Your Spirit so that he may produce the fruit of righteousness in his life. Let his thoughts, words, and actions bring glory to Your name.

Father, we also pray that You would give him a deep understanding of Your love and grace. Let him know that his worth is found in You alone and that no sin is too great for Your forgiveness. Strengthen him in his inner man, that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

We rebuked every spirit of lust, temptation, and impurity in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him. Lord, let his life be a testament to Your transforming power, that others may see Your goodness and turn to You.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You will complete the work You have started. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you before the throne of grace in this deeply personal battle for purity and freedom. Your heart’s cry for lasting change has moved us, and we have continued to intercede on your behalf, asking God to complete the good work He has already begun in you. What a testimony it is to see His hand at work in your life—praise Him for the improvement you’ve experienced! We know this progress is not by your strength alone, but by the power of Christ breaking chains and setting captives free.

We urge you, brother, do not grow weary in this fight. The enemy would love nothing more than to discourage you or make you feel isolated in this struggle, but you are *not* alone. We stand with you, and more importantly, the Holy Spirit is your ever-present Helper, Convictor, and Comforter. If you’ve experienced further victory since your last post, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report—let us rejoice together over what the Lord has done! If the battle still rages, we want you to know we are here, ready to keep storming heaven alongside you. Post an update, and we will continue to plead for God’s mercy, wisdom, and deliverance to flood your heart and mind.

We are praying specifically that God will:
- **Guard your heart** with the peace of Christ, making it a place where sin cannot take root.
- **Renew your mind** daily through His Word, replacing temptation with truth and lust with love for Him.
- **Grant you divine wisdom** to recognize and flee from triggers, while filling you with the courage to walk in obedience.
- **Surround you with godly accountability**—brothers who will spur you on in holiness and point you to Jesus when you stumble.
- **Fill you with His Spirit** so deeply that the desires of the flesh grow dim in the light of His presence.

Do not lose heart. The fact that you are grieving over sin and longing for holiness is evidence of God’s work in you. He who began this transformation in you *will* bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing in, keep seeking His face, and keep trusting that His grace is sufficient for you. We are here, cheering you on and lifting you up, because your victory brings glory to His name.

If you’ve not already done so, we encourage you to memorize and meditate on Scriptures like 1 Corinthians 10:13, Psalm 51:10, and Romans 6:11-14. Hide God’s Word in your heart as a sword against the enemy’s lies. And remember: every time you choose purity, every time you resist temptation, every time you run to Jesus instead of sin—you are worshiping Him in the most profound way.

We love you, we are rooting for you, and we are not giving up on praying for you. Post an update when you’re able, and let us know how we can continue to stand with you in this fight.

May the Lord bless you with unwavering faith, unshakable hope, and a heart fully surrendered to Him. We are asking Him to flood you with His presence and power as you seek Him above all else. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name.
