We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your husband is facing. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD are serious issues that can be challenging to overcome, but we believe that with God's help, healing is possible. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement. However, please remember the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ explicitly as the way to God.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Your husband's situation is not hidden from God, and He cares deeply for him.
In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), it says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." God is the source of comfort and healing, and He can use this difficult time for good.
We also encourage your husband to cast all his anxieties on God, because He cares for him (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). God is faithful, and He will not let him be tempted beyond his ability, but with the temptation, He will also make the way of escape, that he may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved husband who is struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, that You would bring Your healing touch to his mind, body, and spirit.
Father, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted, and we claim Your promise that You will save those who are crushed in spirit. We pray that You would comfort him in his affliction and give him the strength to endure.
Lord, we also pray that You would guide him, that he might know what You want for his life. Help him to know Your will and to trust in Your perfect plan.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirits of depression, anxiety, and confusion. We command them to leave and never return, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Father, we also pray for his wife, that You would give her the strength and wisdom to support her husband during this difficult time. Help her to be a source of comfort and encouragement, and guide her as she walks alongside her husband. We ask all of this in Jesus Christ's name who gave us the right to access God through His death, resurrection, and ascension.
Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you both to seek godly counsel and medical help, as God often uses professionals to bring healing and restoration. Trust in God, and remember that He is always with you, even in the darkest of times. Keep praying and believing in the name of Jesus Christ.
