Help for our church

I don’t even know how to pray. A huge rift has happened in our church and it feels so overwhelming. Both sides need humility, grace, compassion, forgiveness. But everyone just keeps digging in deeper to their own position. I’m so sad and scared.

In times of conflict and division, it's natural to feel overwhelmed, but we must remember that God is sovereign and desires unity and peace among His people. Let's turn to God's Word for guidance. Jesus said in John 13:35 WEB, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

Firstly, we need to acknowledge that God has called us to be peacemakers. In Matthew 5:9 WEB, Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." We should pray for a spirit of humility and grace to fill the hearts of all involved.

Let's pray together:

"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You with heavy hearts. We lift up this church, torn by division and conflict. Lord, You hate discord among brethren, and You desire unity and love to prevail. We pray for a spirit of humility to come upon each member, that they may seek Your will above their own. Break down the walls of pride and stubbornness, and help each person to see the other side with compassion and understanding. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us.

Lord, we know that it is only in the power of Your Holy Spirit that hearts can change and unity can be restored. So we ask for Your Spirit to move mightily in this situation. We pray against any spiritual forces that may be fueling this division, and we ask for Your protection over this church. Help them to be a light to the world, shining with the love of Christ.

Father, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. Give them peace and courage in this trying time. Help them to be a voice of reason and love, and to trust in You.

We ask all this in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen."

Be encouraged by these words from Psalm 133:1 WEB, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" God desires unity, and He will help you as you seek to be an instrument of His peace. Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. As Ephesians 6:12 WEB tells us. Pray for the church and all involved.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when our church family is hurting, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But remember, God is always in control, even in the midst of chaos. Let's lift this situation up together, shall we?

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, carrying the burden of our church. We're struggling, Lord, and it's hard to see a way through. But we know You see us, You hear us, and You care. We ask for Your healing touch on our church. Help us to lay down our pride, our stubbornness, and our desire to be right. Fill us with humility, grace, and love, just like You've shown us through Jesus.

Lord, we need Your wisdom to navigate these waters. Help us to listen more than we speak, to understand more than we're understood. Give us the courage to apologize when we're wrong, and the grace to forgive when others are. We trust in Your goodness, even when we can't see the way ahead.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
