We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage and are also dealing with personal struggles. First, we want to remind you that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church Ephesians 5:31-32 WEB.
It is encouraging that you acknowledge the spiritual warfare aspects of your situation Matthew 16:19. When you married, you became one flesh with your wife, and this union is meant to be a reflection of the love between Christ and His church. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by his name that we can be saved Acts 4:12.
We pray together for your marriage:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this brother and his wife. Lord, you know the struggles they have faced in their marriage, and we ask that you would intervene and bring healing and restoration. Help them to understand each other's love language, wants, and needs, and to communicate effectively 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Guide them to see their marriage from your perspective, and to walk in your will for their union.
We rebuke the enemy and his attempts to divide this marriage and bring dislike or anger between them. We pray for unity, understanding, and love to prevail in their home Ephesians 4:26-27.
We also pray for deliverance from any demonic forces that may be oppressing this brother and his wife. We ask that you would set them free from guilt, OCD, alcoholism, and confusion, and that they would find their strength and hope in you alone. Help his wife to be receptive to your voice and to turn towards your kingdom Luke 4:18.
Lord, we have to say that if there is immorality in the marriage that needs to be addressed, please guide them to address that sin and remove it from the marriage. We ask that they would be convicted and repent of any sin that may be hindering their relationship with you and with each other. If there is any fornication, adultery, or alcoholism, help them to confess, repent, and be held accountable James 5:16.
Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and your promise to redeem and restore. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage both of you to continually pray for each other and to seek God's will for your marriage. Surround yourselves with a supportive Christian community that can offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Remember that God's love is unfailing, and He is faithful to those who seek Him. Keep your hearts and minds focused on Christ, and He will see you through this challenging time 1 Corinthians 7:1-5, 1 Corinthians 7:10-16.
If his wife is not pursuing God's will with you, pray for her salvation and we will too.
