Heavy burdens Need a faith boost please

Beloved of All
I’m not sure how to navigate loss. The relationship with my parent was very rocky, they were emotionally abusive and extremely critical. There was no closure prior to their passing on. I’ve been abused most of my life. Now I’m an adult in my 50’s who is very guarded and feels like I have no skills. I was heavily criticized and mocked by relatives, work colleagues, and acquaintances. Right now, I’m without direction. I was referred to as mentally slow (which I’m not). All of the mocking and humiliation has caused me to not want to form new relationships. I have CPTSD and I don’t feel like I’ll overcome it in this lifetime. If God was using abuse to refine me, it didn’t work. It just made me hyper vigilant and emotionally stuck. I’m a lost cause. I don’t want to deal with evil anymore as it is causing my physical body to breakdown. Lord can you please deliver me from evil I feel like I’m slipping down the wrong path. Sorry for complaining but I feel like there’s no hope for recovery. Tired of evil people getting away with hurting others.

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that your pain is seen and your cries are heard. The weight of abuse, betrayal, and unhealed wounds can feel unbearable, especially when closure was stolen from you. You are not a lost cause—far from it. The enemy would love for you to believe that lie, but Scripture declares, *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Your worth is not defined by the cruelty of others or the labels they placed on you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God’s plans for you are for good, not harm (Jeremiah 29:11).

The abuse you endured was never God’s design. He does not use evil to refine His children—He uses His Word, His Spirit, and His love. What was meant to destroy you, He can redeem. *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28). This does not mean the abuse was justified, but it means God can bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). He is the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).

Your hypervigilance and emotional pain are not signs of weakness—they are evidence of the battles you’ve survived. But you do not have to carry this burden alone. Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). He is your refuge, your strength, and your deliverer (Psalm 18:2). You asked the Lord to deliver you from evil, and He will. *"The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom"* (2 Timothy 4:18). This is His promise to you.

We must also address the despair you feel about recovery. The enemy wants you to believe healing is impossible, but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). CPTSD is not a life sentence—it is a battle, but it is one you can fight with the Lord as your strength. *"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). You may not see the path yet, but God is already working to restore you.

We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and despair in Jesus’ name. We declare that you are not defined by your past, and your future is not dictated by the cruelty of others. *"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope"* (Jeremiah 29:11). You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:2).

We also want to gently address your mention of God’s role in your suffering. While God can bring good out of evil, He does not ordain abuse or cruelty. Those who inflicted pain on you will answer to Him (Romans 12:19). You are not responsible for their sins, and you do not have to carry the weight of their actions. *"Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19). Your job is to release that burden to Him and trust that He will bring justice in His time.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their broken heart and weary spirit. Lord, You see every wound, every tear, and every moment of despair they have endured. You are the God who collects every tear in a bottle (Psalm 56:8), and we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm on their soul. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are a lost cause, that they are unlovable, or that they will never heal. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, that they are Your beloved child, and that You have a future and a hope for them.

Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of CPTSD and the emotional bondage that has kept them stuck. We pray for Your peace to guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7), and for Your presence to surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12). Father, we ask that You would give them the courage to step out in faith, even when fear tries to hold them back. Help them to trust in You, for You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

We pray for deliverance from the evil that has plagued their life. Lord, we ask that You would expose and dismantle every stronghold of the enemy, and that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Father, we ask that You would restore their hope, renew their strength, and lead them into the abundant life You have promised (John 10:10).

We also pray for justice, Lord. We ask that You would deal with those who have hurt them, not in anger, but in Your perfect righteousness. We trust that You will repay every act of cruelty and bring light into the darkness they have endured. Father, we ask that You would give them the grace to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because forgiveness is the path to freedom (Colossians 3:13).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Show them Your love, Your mercy, and Your faithfulness. Help them to see that You are their healer, their deliverer, and their hope. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

You are not forgotten, and you are not beyond God’s reach. He is with you, even in the darkest valleys, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep pressing into Him, for He is your strength and your song (Exodus 15:2). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. He is the only way to true peace and eternal life (John 14:6). Simply pray, *"Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I surrender my life to You. Forgive me, cleanse me, and be my Lord and Savior. Amen."* If you prayed that prayer, we rejoice with you and encourage you to seek out a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith.

You are not alone. We are standing with you, praying for you, and believing God for your breakthrough. Keep your eyes on Him, for He is faithful.

Oh dear friend, we hear your heart's cry and we're here for you. We know the weight of unhealed wounds, the sting of criticism, and the fear of forming new relationships. But remember, you are not alone. You are loved, deeply and unconditionally, by a God who sees you, knows you, and wants to heal you.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is not the author of your pain, but He is the Healer. He can take the brokenness of your past and turn it into a testimony of His faithfulness.

We also want to remind you of Jesus' promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus invites you to come to Him, just as you are. He sees your pain, He understands your struggles, and He wants to give you rest.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to heal your broken heart, to deliver you from evil, and to restore your hope. We're also praying for those who have hurt you, that God would bring justice and healing in His perfect timing.

Please keep trusting in God. He is with you, and He will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep pressing into Him, and remember, you are not alone. We're standing with you, believing with you, and praying for you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your pain before the Lord these past days. Your honesty about the weight of loss without closure, the wounds of emotional abuse, and the exhaustion of feeling unseen and mocked has not fallen on deaf ears—both in heaven and among us. We have prayed specifically that the Holy Spirit would come as your Comforter, wrapping you in a peace that surpasses the understanding of how to heal from such deep scars. We asked God to quiet the voices of the past that still echo in your mind, replacing every lie with the truth of His unconditional love for you.

We have also lifted up your physical body, asking the Great Physician to strengthen it as you carry the stress of trauma. We prayed that He would reveal Himself as your Deliverer, not just from evil itself, but from the grip it has had on your heart and health. We asked Him to show you small, daily mercies—moments of grace that remind you He has not abandoned you, even when the path feels dark.

If you have noticed even the slightest shift—a breath easier to take, a moment of unexpected kindness, or a flicker of hope—we would be so encouraged to hear about it. But if the burden still feels too heavy to bear alone, please know we are not walking away. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God can rewrite the story of pain into one of redemption. You are not a lost cause; you are deeply loved by the One who sees every tear and collects them in His bottle.

We pray that as you seek Him, you would sense His nearness in ways that bring healing to your soul and renewal to your spirit. In Jesus’ Name, we ask for your breakthrough and peace.
