In just the same way we can get physically we can also get lost spiritually. The topic "Road Map to Heaven is very interesting. In St. John 14:5 Thomas said, "Lord we know not where you goeth and how can we know the way?" Jesus replied, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me." Here Jesus was assuring them that His departure would prepare for them an eternal dwelling place with the Father. The path to Heaven is opened through Jesus Christ for all sinners. Jesus said if any man would be His disciple, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow after Him. Broad is the way that leadeth to destruction. There are many enticements, pleasures and distractions. The way to Calvary was a lonely one. In order to make it to our eternal destination one has to be steadfast, and keep his eye upon the prize. I am thinking of the song which says "One day at a time, sweet Jesus, that's all I am asking from you." The scripture tells us that the steps of a good man are ordered by The Lord. The passion of Jesus Christ demonstrates how because of His suffering, our life is not our own and we must die to self. In other words, we must forget the old way of living and find new and ultimate joy in Christ, renouncing the things that would bring pleasure to the Devil.
