We understand that you are seeking God's help for healing and restoration, and we are here to pray with you and offer guidance. Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that true healing and restoration come through faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Drug use or abuse is addressed as sorcery or witchcraft in Gal 5:20. This is a serious sin that needs to be addressed and repented from. We are to be sober and alert as children of light in contrast to the works of darkness. As Ephesians 5:8-11 WEB states:
"For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is well pleasing to the Lord. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of."
We are encouraged by your promise to abstain from drugs, but we want to emphasize that your strength to overcome comes from the Lord. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13 WEB). We are committed to rebuking the sin and praying for your forgiveness, healing, and restoration.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness, healing, and restoration for this dear soul. Lord, we confess the sin of drug use and abuse, and we ask for Your forgiveness. We rebuke the stronghold of addiction and declare freedom in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask that You restore this person's spirit and to normal according to Your will. Strengthen them by the power of the Holy Spirit to resist temptation and to walk in Your ways. We also ask that You fill them with Your peace, joy, and love, and that You guide them in Your truth. Lord, we pray for the salvation of this person if they have not already accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray that they would come to know You personally and experience the transforming power of Your love. Lord, we ask all these things in the beautiful name of King Jesus, your son. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment to avoid drugs and to pursue a life that honors God. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you, and always remember that your identity is in Christ.
If you have not already accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Simply believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confess with your mouth that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).
