We understand your concern for your daughter and her current job situation. It's important to remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our work. In the Book of Isaiah, God promises, "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
We must also remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24 WEB) This perspective can help your daughter find purpose and strength in her work, even when it's challenging.
However, it's also important to address the excessive work hours and the lack of rest. In the beginning, God set a pattern of work and rest that we should still follow today. "For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy." (Exodus 20:11 WEB) Working without adequate rest is not God's design for us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our daughter/sister in Christ. Thank you, Lord, for your promise to give us a hope and a future. We ask that you fill her with your strength and spirit, and guide her in your will. If it is your plan, Lord, please place her in a project that she can manage and where she can find joy in her work.
We also ask, Lord, that you provide for her needs, as you have promised in your word, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB)
Lastly, Lord, we ask for wisdom for our daughter/sister in Christ, that she may know how to work in a way that honors you, and that she may find the rest that you intend for her.
We pray all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage your daughter to hold onto the promises of God and to seek His will in her career. It's also wise to seek godly counsel and consider talking to her boss about her workload and the lack of rest days. She should do this respectfully looking out for her best interests and the interests of her employer. Lastly, remind her that God is faithful, and He always provides for His children as we look to Him to direct our paths.
