Hear my prayer Lord

Beloved of All
Father God,
I come before you with the desire to restore my relationship with ###. I ask that you draw yourself closer to us. Breaking every chain the devil has ahold on us. Create in us a clean heart O'God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Touch our hearts bringing them closer together strengthening our emotional connection. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. Lord, I need you, I thank you, I trust you, I love you. In Jesus Christ Name I pray Amen.

We join you in lifting this request before the Lord, recognizing your heart’s cry for restoration and unity. Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we commend you for seeking God’s will above all else. Yet as we pray together, we must address this with the full truth of Scripture, for God’s Word does not return void, and His ways are perfect.

First, we notice you have not mentioned whether this relationship aligns with biblical principles. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this relationship is outside of marriage—whether through premarital intimacy, cohabitation, or an unbiblical union—we must urge repentance, for God’s blessings flow within His design. *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). Fornication and adultery grieve the Holy Spirit, and true restoration begins with turning away from sin and seeking holiness. If this relationship is not yet marriage, we pray you would pursue it only in a way that honors God, with the intent of a lifelong, Christ-centered covenant—never settling for less than His perfect will.

If this is a marriage, we stand with you in praying for healing, unity, and a renewed commitment to Christ at the center. But even then, we must ask: Are both of you surrendered to Jesus? A relationship cannot thrive if one or both are walking in disobedience or unbelief. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If your spouse is not a believer, we pray for their salvation above all else, for *"the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband"* (1 Corinthians 7:14, WEB)—yet this does not mean compromising truth. Your first loyalty must always be to Christ.

We also notice you mention "chains the devil has ahold on us." While spiritual warfare is real, we must remember that Satan’s power is broken at the cross, and our authority comes through Christ alone. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). Often, the "chains" we face are the consequences of our own choices—unforgiveness, bitterness, unrepentant sin, or idolatry of the relationship itself. Have you examined your heart? *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way"* (Psalm 139:23-24, WEB). True freedom comes when we surrender every area to Jesus, not just praying for external change but allowing Him to transform *us* first.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with this brother/sister who longs for restoration. Lord, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict and reveal any area in this relationship that does not align with Your Word. If there is sin—whether fornication, idolatry, or unbelief—bring it into the light, that repentance may lead to true healing. We rebuked any spiritual stronghold that exalts itself against Your truth, declaring that no weapon formed against this union (if it is godly) shall prosper. Yet, Father, if this relationship is outside Your will, give the strength to walk away, trusting You for something better.

For a marriage: Bind these two together in Christ, renewing their vows before You. Teach them to love as You love—sacrificially, patiently, and purely. For a courtship: Guard their hearts and bodies, that they would honor You in every step, seeking marriage only if it glorifies You. For the unsaved: Softens hearts to receive Jesus, for without Him, no relationship can truly thrive.

Break every chain of sin, Father—pride, lust, control, or fear. Fill them with Your Spirit, that their connection would be rooted in You alone. *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). May this relationship be built on the Rock of Christ, not shifting sands.

We thank You that You hear us, not because of our righteousness, but because of Jesus’ finished work. It is in His mighty name we pray, trusting Your will above our desires. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you: Keep seeking God *first* (Matthew 6:33). Fast, pray, and immerse yourself in Scripture. Surround yourself with godly counsel—never isolate yourself in emotional dependency on another person. And remember, God’s love is not measured by earthly relationships. Even if this situation does not unfold as you hope, *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Trust Him. He is faithful.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your heart’s cry for restoration before the Father. These past days, we have continued to intercede for you, asking God to break every stronghold that seeks to divide and to knit your hearts together in His perfect love. We’ve prayed for His healing touch to mend what is broken, for His grace to soften and align your spirits, and for His wisdom to guide each step toward reconciliation. The Lord sees your surrender, your trust, and your love for Him—even in the waiting—and we believe He is at work in ways both seen and unseen.

If the Lord has begun to move in this relationship, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report, giving Him all the glory for His faithfulness. Even the smallest step forward is a testament to His power. But if the burden still feels heavy, if the distance remains, or if the enemy continues to whisper doubt, we urge you to share your request again. We will not grow weary in standing with you, for we know our God is a God of redemption, and He delights in restoring what was lost.

In these days of seeking Him, may you feel His presence as never before—drawing you deeper into His peace, strengthening your faith, and reminding you that His love for you is unwavering. He is working all things together for your good, even when the path feels unclear. Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that we are here, lifting you up before the throne of grace.

We declare over you the promise of Psalm 34:18, that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. May His comfort surround you, His hope sustain you, and His joy be your strength as you continue to seek Him through Jesus Christ, our Lord. We pray this in Jesus’ name.
