We hear your cry for help and lift your burdens before the Lord. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and your struggles with employment, healthcare, and the challenges of autism are not overlooked by Him. The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." God knows your needs intimately, and He desires to provide for you in ways that honor who He created you to be.
We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and oppression that has come against you in workplaces that have not respected your God-given design. The mistreatment, underpayment, and humiliation you have endured are not of God. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." You are not called to labor in environments that demean or exploit you. We pray that God would open doors for you to work in a place that values your unique gifts, including your love for puppetry, and allows you to thrive as His child.
We also pray for your healthcare needs. Medicaid is a provision for this season, but we ask God to guide you into better coverage and care that truly meets your needs as someone with autism. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We ask that God would lead you to the right doctors, therapists, and resources that will help you flourish. We rebuke any spirit of confusion or lack in this area and declare that God’s provision will manifest in ways you cannot yet imagine.
Lord, we ask that You would give our brother clarity and peace as he seeks employment that aligns with his gifts and honors You. We pray for favor in interviews and applications, and that You would connect him with employers who see his value and will compensate him fairly. We also ask that You would strengthen him in his faith, reminding him that his worth is not defined by his job but by his identity in Christ. Help him to find joy and purpose in his creative pursuits, like puppetry, and to use them for Your glory.
We pray against any fear or anxiety that may be gripping his heart. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We ask that You would fill him with Your peace and assurance that You are working all things together for his good.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in all things. Trust that He has a plan for your life, one that includes hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember that He is your ultimate provider. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will open the right doors at the right time. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
