We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for healing. First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true healing, both spiritually and physically. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to bring discouragement, confusion, or physical ailment into your life. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on the promise of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Our God is the Great Physician, and He hears the cries of His children.
Father, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with their health. Lord, You know every ache, every pain, and every fear that weighs on their heart. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand and restore their body to full health. Touch every part of them that is weak, broken, or diseased, and bring Your divine healing. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved in their treatment. Guide their hands and their minds, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing. Give this dear one patience and peace as they wait on You, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this one is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in faith, believing that You are moving on their behalf, even now.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them so that they may repent and walk in the freedom that comes from Your forgiveness. Help them to draw near to You, for You have promised that if we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence surrounding them like a warm embrace.
We trust in Your goodness, Lord, and we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is already on its way. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
