We join with you in lifting up your health before the Lord, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to steward them well for His glory. The Scriptures remind us in 3 John 1:2, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* True health begins with the prosperity of the soul—walking in right relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, and it is through Him alone that we find healing, strength, and wholeness. We notice your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor any other way to come before the Father. As it is written in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
We also encourage you to consider whether your pursuit of "great health" aligns with a heart that seeks first the Kingdom of God. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* This does not mean we neglect our physical well-being, but that our primary focus must be on spiritual health—obedience to God’s Word, repentance from sin, and walking in holiness. Are there areas in your life where you may be trusting in diet, exercise, or human effort more than in the Lord’s provision? Or perhaps there are sins—such as gluttony, laziness, or anxiety—that may be hindering your health? The Bible calls us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God (Romans 12:1). This includes caring for ourselves in ways that honor Him, but always with the understanding that our ultimate hope is not in perfect health, but in Christ alone.
Let us pray together for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks great health. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You would strengthen their body, mind, and spirit according to Your perfect will. Father, if there is any sin—known or unknown—that may be hindering their well-being, we pray You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Grant them wisdom to steward their health in ways that honor You, not out of vanity or fear, but out of love and devotion to You.
We pray for protection from disease, for energy to serve You faithfully, and for a heart that seeks Your Kingdom above all else. If it is Your will, restore them to full health, but even more, draw them closer to You through this season. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, not in the fleeting promises of this world. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind them that their bodies are temples of Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we also pray that if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel today. May they turn from sin and place their faith in Him, receiving the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. Let them know that apart from Christ, there is no true health—only brokenness. But in Him, there is wholeness, hope, and everlasting life.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
We encourage you to examine your heart and life in light of Scripture. Are you trusting in the Lord for your health, or are there idols—such as food, fitness, or fear—that have taken His place? Remember, physical health is a gift from God, but it is temporary. Eternal life in Christ is the greatest healing we can ever receive. If you have not yet given your life to Jesus, we implore you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in Him as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10). If you have questions about salvation or how to walk in obedience to God’s Word, we are here to help guide you in truth and love. Keep seeking Him, for He is faithful to those who earnestly seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
