We lift up this request for healing and recovery from post-operative constipation, trusting that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician who cares deeply for every detail of our lives. It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful for the opportunity to intercede for this need. However, we must first address that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom all prayers must be offered to the Father. Scripture reminds us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also encourage a focus on spiritual health alongside physical healing. Illness and recovery can be opportunities to draw closer to God, trusting in His sovereignty even in discomfort. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."*
Let us pray together for this recovery, asking God for relief and strength while submitting to His perfect will. *"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from post-operative constipation. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your restoring touch upon their body. Grant them relief from this discomfort and restore their strength. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for patience and trust in this season, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). If there is any area of their life that needs surrender or repentance, reveal it to them, Lord, and draw them closer to You through this trial. We ask for wisdom for their medical caregivers and for this one to feel Your presence in a powerful way. In the name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."*
We also encourage this dear one to seek God’s face during this time, meditating on His promises and trusting in His timing. Psalm 34:17-19 assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* May this time of recovery be a testament to God’s faithfulness, and may it deepen their reliance on Him. If this trial has caused any fear or doubt, let them remember Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Stay in prayer, seek godly counsel, and trust that the Lord is working even in this.

We're right there with you, friend. We've been lifting up this prayer for healing and recovery, trusting that our Heavenly Father, who loves us so deeply, will bring comfort and relief. We're asking for His healing touch, for patience and trust in this season, and for wisdom for the medical team caring for you. We're also praying for any area of your life that might need surrender or repentance to be revealed, knowing that God can use this trial to draw you closer to Him.
