HEALTH PROBLEMS JUST PILING UP

Leah B.

Servant of All
As you may recall, I suffer from two separate issues with my jaw, namely, TMJ and also a movement disorder of never-to-be-determined etiology. The good news here is there has been a sharp decline in both the severity and duration of my jaw movements. However, every time my dentist adjusts my orthotic, it leads to a temporary uptick in the movement problem. Having gotten an adjustment yesterday, I am going through this movement now. No sleep last night. Please pray in Jesus's name the movement decreases again soon. But moving right along: The CT scan of my jaw yielded an incidental finding of calcifications of both my carotid arteries. I gave the CT scan findings to the office staff of my pulmonologist to give to him. That was two months ago. Due to what I strongly believe was a mix-up by his secretaries, my pulmonologist just got back to me today. He told me he is putting in for a consult with a vascular surgeon. I am now officially very scared and just freaking out. I also can't get over that this is happening to me. I tested negative for any kind of plaque about three years ago. I take a cholesterol pill. I exercise. My lung disease is well controlled. My diet is pretty good. My weight is just fine. Wow! Just wow! But anyway, please pray the vascular surgeon calls soon so I can just get this appointment over and done. Please pray I get top-notch care if I need it and don't end up having a stroke. [I also hate and am afraid of drugs. I also have kind of a lousy attitude about giving up red meat and stuff. I don't want to spend the rest of my life eating kibble and rabbit food. Yuk!] Okay -- Believe it or not, there's more: Female problem I'm not detailing here. Will just say it's painful and costing me a lot of money and aggravation. Also I am having terrible problems with my feet. More pain. In conclusion please pray in Jesus's name with regards to all these health concerns. Please pray in Jesus's name I break my inertia. I'm so sick of doctoring, that I'm stalling calling a podiatrist and setting up the "female" check-up. P.S.: Part of my problem with the "female" check-up is it's going to really, really hurt. Again, I don't wish to be indelicate so I'm not giving details.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Thank you for praying 🙏

We lift you up before the Lord, dear sister, knowing that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and that God cares deeply about every pain, fear, and frustration you are carrying. Your suffering is not unseen by Him, and we stand with you in faith, declaring that His healing power is at work in your life. You have rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace, where we receive mercy and find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We are grateful you acknowledge this truth, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

First, we address the fear and frustration that seem to be overwhelming you. The Lord tells us, *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). Your anxiety about the carotid artery calcifications, the vascular surgeon consultation, and the possibility of a stroke is understandable, but we urge you to cast these fears upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is the Great Physician, the One who formed your inward parts and knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). Trust in His sovereignty, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. Remember, His plans for you are plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also sense a resistance in your heart toward potential lifestyle changes, such as dietary adjustments or medication. While we understand your reluctance—especially your dislike of drugs and your enjoyment of foods like red meat—we must gently remind you that our bodies are not our own. *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If the Lord leads you to make changes for the sake of your health, we pray you will surrender this area to Him, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). He may use this season to refine your dependence on Him, teaching you to find satisfaction in Him alone, even if it means letting go of temporal comforts.

Regarding your jaw issues, we thank God with you for the decline in severity and duration of the movements. We pray that this temporary uptick from the orthotic adjustment will subside quickly and that the Lord will grant your dentist wisdom in future adjustments. *"The Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly"* (Psalm 84:11). May He bring swift relief and restoration to your jaw, allowing you to sleep peacefully and live without this burden.

As for the "female problem" and the pain you’re experiencing, we lift this up to the Lord, asking for His healing touch and comfort. We know this is a sensitive and difficult area, and we pray that the Lord will provide you with compassionate, skilled medical care. Do not let fear of pain keep you from seeking the help you need. *"For God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). He will give you the strength to endure what is necessary, and we pray that the procedure will be less painful than you anticipate. We also ask the Lord to provide for you financially, as the cost of these treatments is weighing heavily on you. *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19).

Your feet, too, are under attack with pain, and we ask the Lord to bring healing and relief. May He guide you to a podiatrist who can address the root of the issue and provide effective treatment. We rebuke the spirit of inertia that has taken hold of you, keeping you from making these necessary appointments. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). Even in the small act of scheduling these visits, you are honoring God by stewarding the body He has given you. Delaying only prolongs your suffering, and we pray the Lord will give you the motivation to take these steps without further hesitation.

Lastly, sister, we sense a weariness in your spirit from the constant "doctoring" and the weight of these health battles. It is okay to feel exhausted, but do not let discouragement take root. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30). Lean on Jesus in this season. Let Him carry what you cannot. Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you, encourage you, and even accompany you to appointments if needed. You are not meant to walk this path alone.

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is carrying such a heavy burden of physical pain, fear, and frustration. Lord, You see every detail of her suffering—the jaw movements that steal her sleep, the fear of stroke and vascular issues, the pain in her body, and the financial and emotional toll these trials are taking. We ask You to be her Healer, her Comforter, and her Provider.

Father, we pray for supernatural healing over her jaw, her carotid arteries, her feet, and the sensitive female issue she faces. Touch her body with Your restoring power, Lord, and let every cell, nerve, and organ align with Your perfect design. Give her doctors and specialists wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they treat her. May she receive top-notch care that brings about complete healing, and may any necessary procedures be effective and as painless as possible.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of her regarding her health. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that You are in control, that You hold her future, and that nothing can separate her from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Help her to trust You even when the path is unclear.

We also ask You to soften her heart toward any lifestyle changes You may be calling her to make. Give her a willingness to surrender her preferences to You, knowing that Your ways are best. Help her to see food, medication, and rest as tools You can use for her good, not as burdens but as acts of stewardship.

Father, we pray against the inertia that has kept her from scheduling necessary appointments. Give her the strength and motivation to take these steps, knowing that delay only prolongs her suffering. Surround her with Your peace as she makes these calls and attends these visits.

Lastly, Lord, we ask You to lift the weariness from her spirit. Renew her strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Remind her that she is not alone, that You are with her, and that her suffering is not in vain. Use this season to draw her closer to You, to refine her faith, and to show her Your faithfulness in new ways.

We declare healing, peace, and breakthrough over her life in the name of Jesus. May she testify soon of Your goodness and restoration. Amen.
