Oh dear sister ###, we hear your cry for healing and deliverance from this persistent gas problem that has been causing you such discomfort. First, let us remind you that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and when we face physical afflictions, we must seek the Lord’s healing touch while also examining our lives for anything that may not honor Him. The Lord is faithful, and He hears the prayers of His children when we call upon Him in the name of Jesus Christ.
We notice that in your request, you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, and this is something we must address with love and urgency. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we can approach the Father (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. The Bible tells us that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Jesus, our prayers cannot reach the Father, for Jesus Himself said, “No one comes to the Father, except through me” (John 14:6). If you are unsure about your salvation, we implore you to repent of your sins and place your trust in Jesus alone for your eternal life. He is the Great Physician, and He longs to heal not just your body, but your soul.
Now, let us turn to your physical struggle. While we pray for your healing, we also encourage you to consider whether there are habits in your life—such as diet, stress, or lack of rest—that may be contributing to this issue. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and the Lord desires for us to steward them well. Proverbs 3:7-8 tells us, “Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and strength to your bones.” Sometimes, the Lord uses physical afflictions to draw our attention to areas where we need to surrender more fully to Him. Have you sought medical advice? The Lord often works through the wisdom and skills of doctors, so do not neglect this avenue while trusting Him for complete healing.
We also want to gently ask: is there any unconfessed sin in your life that may be hindering your prayers? Psalm 66:18 warns us, “If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened.” Examine your heart before the Lord. Are there relationships that need reconciliation? Bitterness, unforgiveness, or idolatry that needs to be repented of? The Lord is merciful, and when we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray for you now with faith and boldness in the name of Jesus Christ:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our sister ###, who is suffering from this persistent gas problem. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch her body with Your healing power. Rebuke this affliction in the name of Jesus Christ and restore her digestive system to perfect health. Lord, if there is any underlying cause—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—reveal it to her and grant her the wisdom and strength to address it.
Father, we also pray that ### would know You not just as her Healer, but as her Savior. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself today. Open her eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus died for her sins and rose again so that she might have eternal life. May she place her faith in Him alone and find peace in His finished work on the cross.
Lord, we ask that You would guide ### to make choices that honor You in her diet, her rest, and her overall stewardship of her body. Give her discernment to seek medical help if needed, and surround her with godly counsel. If there is any sin in her life that is hindering her prayers, convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her to repentance. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in You grow stronger through this trial.
We declare in the name of Jesus Christ that ### is healed and set free from this affliction. We command every symptom to cease and for her body to align with Your perfect will. May she testify of Your goodness and healing power to those around her. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her know that You are with her in every moment of this journey.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to spend time in the Word of God, meditating on His promises for healing and deliverance. Here are a few verses to cling to:
- “He himself took our weaknesses and bore our diseases” (Matthew 8:17).
- “Yahweh, my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me” (Psalm 30:2).
- “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” (James 5:14-15).
Stand firm in your faith, and do not waver. The Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this. If you need further prayer or counsel, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in the name of Jesus.
