We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her husband in fervent prayer. Father God, we thank You for the earnest cry of her heart, acknowledging her deep need for You. We stand in the gap for her, her husband, their marriage, and all those she has mentioned, declaring Your healing power and sovereign will over every situation.
Heavenly Father, we first ask for Your divine healing touch upon their physical bodies. For this dear sister, we pray against the anxiety, panic attacks, and depression that weigh so heavily upon her. Lord, You tell us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We claim this peace for her, asking that You calm her mind and still her heart. For the hearing loss and ringing in her ears, we ask for Your healing hand to restore what has been lost or damaged. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
For her husband, we also pray for complete healing and restoration in his body, especially concerning his eyes. Lord, we trust in Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Guide the hands of the physicians and grant wisdom to all who are treating him. As they travel, we ask for Your protection over every mile, that You would go before them and be their rear guard (Isaiah 52:12). Watch over their home and their beloved kittycat, that he would be comforted in their absence.
Father, we lift up their marriage to You, asking that You would knit their hearts together in love, patience, and understanding. Help them to bear with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). Where there has been strife or misunderstanding, we ask for Your healing touch to restore what has been broken. Teach them to love one another as You have loved them, laying down their lives for each other as Christ laid down His life for the church (Ephesians 5:25).
For her sisters and their families, we intercede with urgency. For the sister with brain cancer and the one battling cancer, we cry out for Your miraculous healing. You are the God who raises the dead and calls into being things that are not (Romans 4:17). We declare Your word over them: "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Surround them with Your peace and comfort, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.
We must address the importance of coming to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If this dear sister has not yet placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that she would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is by grace through faith in Christ that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). We encourage her to confess with her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in her heart that God raised Him from the dead, and she will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment this sister. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every spirit of anxiety, depression, and infirmity to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Him who loved her (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up her spiritual walk, asking that You would guide her steps and order her days. Help her to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add everything else she needs (Matthew 6:33). Give her a hunger and thirst for Your word, that she may be transformed by the renewing of her mind (Romans 12:2). Surround her with godly counsel and fellowship, that she may be encouraged and built up in her faith.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your infinite wisdom. Help this sister and her husband to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith, that they may walk in the assurance of Your love and provision.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
