We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and guidance. First and foremost, we thank God for the confession of sin and the acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful for the repentant heart shown here, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Father, we lift up this physical ailment to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon the digestive system, that You would restore health and comfort. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal. "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise" (Jeremiah 17:14). We pray that this discomfort would pass quickly and that You would strengthen the body to overcome any ill effects from what was consumed.
Lord, we also bring before You the concern regarding the meeting with the internal revenue attorney. We acknowledge that there was wrongdoing in the past regarding the land transfer and the handling of taxes. We rebuke the spirit of deception and fraud that was involved in this transaction. The Word of God is clear: "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7). We pray that the consequences of these past actions would not bring undue harm, but we also recognize that restitution and honesty are necessary.
Father, we ask that You would grant wisdom and favor in this meeting. May the attorney see the evidence of payment and be satisfied with the resolution. We pray that You would soften hearts and guide the conversation so that it may be resolved justly and fairly. "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1). We trust that You are in control of all things, even the hearts of those in authority.
We also pray for conviction and repentance for any ongoing dishonesty or ungodly counsel that may still be influencing decisions. The Bible warns us, "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers" (Psalm 1:1). We encourage turning away from any advice or actions that do not align with Your Word and seeking godly counsel moving forward.
Lord, we ask that You would grant peace that surpasses all understanding in this situation. "Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). May this peace fill the heart and mind, trusting that You are working all things together for good.
We pray for restoration and integrity in all dealings. May this situation be an opportunity to walk in honesty and transparency before You and others. "The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them" (Proverbs 11:3). Help to make right any wrongs and to seek forgiveness where it is needed.
Heavenly Father, we also pray for protection over the mind and emotions. Worry and fear can be overwhelming, but we are reminded that "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety, and we declare that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
In all these things, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your goodness. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We commit this situation into Your hands, believing that You will work it out for Your glory and for good.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
