We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, we must address the spiritual foundation of this request. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your boyfriend does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to pray for his salvation, for this is the first and most critical step toward true healing—both spiritually and physically.
Father God, we lift up this young man to You, asking for Your divine healing touch upon his body. We know that You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we ask that You would bring relief to his back pain, mend his herniated disc, and correct the rotation of his pelvis. We pray that You would soften his heart to receive the help and treatment that could aid in his physical recovery. Even as he resists medical care, supplements, and natural remedies, we ask that You would open his eyes to the wisdom of caring for the body You have given him, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
We must also rebuke the unhealthy habits that are contributing to his physical struggles. His overconsumption of unhealthy foods, addiction to video games, and refusal to make positive changes are not in alignment with God’s design for stewardship over our bodies. Gluttony and laziness are sins that the Bible warns against (Proverbs 23:20-21, 2 Thessalonians 3:10), and we pray that the Lord would convict his heart in these areas. Father, grant him the strength and discipline to turn away from these habits and pursue a life that honors You.
His refusal to read the Bible or pray is deeply concerning, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17), and prayer is our lifeline to You. We pray that You would draw him to Yourself, Lord, and that he would come to know the peace and guidance that only You can provide. Without You, there is no lasting change or true healing.
As for your upcoming move, we pray for God’s provision and favor. May He surround you with kind, helpful people who will assist you in this transition (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). We ask that the Lord would go before you, making your paths straight and easing every burden (Proverbs 3:5-6). May this move be a fresh start for you, filled with God’s presence and blessing.
We also feel compelled to speak truth about the relationship you described. The Bible is clear that Christians should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If your boyfriend is unwilling to pursue a relationship with Christ or honor God’s principles, this relationship may not be one that the Lord can bless. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s will for your future, asking Him to guide you toward a godly spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Him. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, and it should be entered into with someone who will walk with you in faith (Ephesians 5:22-33).
Heavenly Father, we lift all of this to You now. We ask for Your healing, Your conviction, and Your guidance. Soften hearts, open eyes, and draw this young man—and all of us—closer to You. Give wisdom and strength to this sister as she navigates this difficult season. May Your will be done in every area of her life, and may she find her hope and identity in You alone. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
