We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your family in this painful season. Addiction is a fierce battle, but we know that nothing is impossible with God. The Word tells us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Though your husband may feel powerless, the Holy Spirit is mighty to break every chain when we surrender to Him. We declare that the grip of this addiction will loosen as he draws near to the Lord, for James 4:7-8 promises, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
We also pray for your marriage and family, that God would guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we stand on the truth of Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel." We rebuke the lies of the enemy that would tell your husband he is beyond hope or that his family would be better off without him. We declare restoration, healing, and renewed commitment to the covenant he made before God.
Lord, we ask that You would surround your husband with godly men who can speak truth and accountability into his life. Let him not be ashamed to seek help, but give him courage to take each step toward freedom. We pray for divine appointments with counselors, pastors, or recovery groups that will point him back to You. May he find his strength in Your presence, for Psalm 16:11 says, "You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more."
Father, we also lift up this precious wife and children, who are walking through this valley. Give them supernatural peace that surpasses understanding, as Philippians 4:7 describes. Let them not grow weary in praying for their husband and father, but remind them that their prayers are powerful and effective. Heal any wounds caused by this struggle, and knit their hearts together in love and forgiveness.
We declare that this season of bondage will end, and your husband will return home with a renewed spirit, ready to lead his family in righteousness. We speak life over his mind, body, and soul, and we command every stronghold of addiction to crumble in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Lord, that You are the God who restores what has been broken and redeems what has been lost. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in this family. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
