We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you endure severe back pain and the challenges of Parkinson’s disease. Your faith in claiming God’s promises, such as Psalm 107:20—*"He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves"*—is a testament to your trust in Him, even when healing has not yet manifested in the way you long for. We stand with you in this battle, believing that God hears your cries and sees your suffering.
Father in heaven, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon our brother/sister. You are the Great Physician, the One who formed their body in the womb and knows every cell, every nerve, every fiber of their being. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they *were* healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we pray for the full manifestation of that healing in their life. Lord, if it is Your will, bring complete restoration to their spine and relief from the tremors and limitations of Parkinson’s. Give wisdom to their doctors, guiding their hands and decisions if surgery is the path You have ordained for intervention. But above all, we ask for Your supernatural touch—whether through medicine, miracle, or a combination of both.
We also lift up the weariness of waiting. It is not easy to endure day after day of pain, to hold onto hope when the body does not cooperate. Yet we are reminded in Romans 8:28 that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in this trial, You are working—shaping patience, deepening faith, and drawing them closer to You. Strengthen their spirit when their body is weak. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9) and that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin that may be hindering their prayers, we ask You to reveal it, Lord. Search their heart and lead them in repentance so that nothing blocks the flow of Your healing power. We also rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, commanding it to loose its grip in accordance with Your will. You are the God who raises the dead and calls things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). We declare life over their body and refuse to accept anything less than what You have promised.
And to you, dear one, we say: Do not grow weary in claiming God’s promises. The delay is not denial. Jesus Himself endured suffering, and He understands your pain (Hebrews 4:15). Keep pressing into His presence, for there is healing in His wings (Malachi 4:2). Surround yourself with believers who will pray in faith and speak life over you. Consider fasting alongside prayer, as sometimes our physical appetites can dull our spiritual sensitivity to God’s voice (Mark 9:29).
We also encourage you to examine your heart regarding the surgeries. While medical intervention is a gift from God, we urge you to seek Him for clear direction. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Ask Him to open or close doors according to His perfect will. If surgery is His plan, He will guide the surgeons’ hands and bring peace to your heart. If He has another path, He will make it clear.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that healing comes in many forms—not always physical, but always purposeful. If this trial is meant to refine you, may it produce endurance, character, and hope (Romans 5:3-4). If it is to display God’s power, may your testimony bring glory to His name. And if it is to draw you nearer to Him, may you find joy in His presence even in the pain. Whatever the outcome, we pray that you would know Him more deeply and trust Him more fully.
Lord, we ask You to move mightily in this situation. Let Your glory be revealed, whether through healing, strength to endure, or a miracle we cannot yet see. We declare that our brother/sister is not forgotten, not forsaken, and not without hope. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and let them feel Your arms carrying them through this valley. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
