We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for healing. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies in the womb and knows every part of us intimately. Your Word declares in Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We stand on the promise of Jeremiah 30:17, where You say, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
Lord, we ask for complete restoration of sight, that glaucoma would be reversed and 20/20 vision would be granted. We believe in Your power to heal, as You healed the blind man in John 9:6-7, "When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud, and said to him, 'Go, wash in the pool of Siloam' (which means 'Sent'). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing." We trust that just as You opened the eyes of the blind then, You can do the same today.
Father, we also pray for patience and peace during this time of waiting. Help this dear one to fix their eyes not on the physical condition, but on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt that may try to creep in, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that this situation is not too hard for You, Lord, for nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before Your throne of grace. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to You, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You for the healing that is already on its way, and we trust in Your perfect timing and will. Amen.
