We lift up this dear one before the Lord, who is our Great Physician and Healer. It is written in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We come before God, trusting in His power to bring healing and restoration, for there is no sickness too great for Him.
Yet we also know that pain can be a warning from the body, and we urge this person to seek wise medical counsel to ensure there is no serious underlying condition. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* Let them not delay in seeking both divine and earthly help, for God often works through the hands of physicians.
We also notice this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing flows. It is by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this one does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray they would turn to Him in faith today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this one who is suffering with pain in their chest, ribs, and back. Lord, You are the God who sees, who knows our every ache, and who holds our lives in Your hands. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through their body, removing all pain and restoring them to full health. Give wisdom to any doctors involved, and let no harm come to them.
If there is any sin or unconfessed wrong in their life, we pray You would reveal it, that they may repent and walk in Your forgiveness and wholeness. Draw them closer to You through this trial, and let them know Your presence as never before. May they trust You completely, whether in healing or in waiting, for Your ways are perfect.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command it to flee, for *"by His wounds we are healed."* Strengthen this one’s faith, Lord, and let them testify of Your goodness. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage this one to continue seeking the Lord, reading His Word, and surrounding themselves with believers who can pray over them. May they find peace in His promises, knowing that *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Stay steadfast, dear one—God has not forgotten you.
