We lift up your sister before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and our Healer. The Word of God assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* We stand on these promises, believing that God is able to bring complete restoration to her body.
It is concerning, however, that this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and salvation come. The Bible is clear in Acts 4:12 that *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* and in John 14:13-14, Jesus Himself declares, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can boldly approach His throne for mercy and grace. Without Him, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from His name.
If you or your sister do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in repentance and faith. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation and healing are found in Him alone, and it is our deepest desire that your sister—and all who love her—would place their trust in Christ, who conquered sin and death for our sake.
We pray now with boldness in the name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this sister who is facing sickness and the need for surgery. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch her body with Your restoring power. Remove every trace of this mass on her lung and bring complete healing to her appendix and every part of her body. Guide the hands of the doctors and surgeons, giving them wisdom and skill as they care for her. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, pain, or infirmity in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against her will prosper. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power. If she does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to her in a mighty way, drawing her into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Let this season be one where she encounters Your love and surrenders her life to You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Jesus. May Your will be done in her life, and may You be glorified through her healing. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround your sister with the support of a faithful, Bible-believing community. Trust in His timing and His ways, for He is good and His love endures forever. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and may He grant you peace and strength as you walk through this season.
