Disciple of Prayer
Suffering with Wilson disease, infection, allergies, and recently tested positive with hepatitis A was eating psychiatric medicines for OCD and anxiety from a long time. Immediately stopped it without telling the doctor because of some issues it was causing, but now has made the situation worse and caused many complications. Living in a small village with no good doctors for these issues. My dad has decided to travel to the city for treatment. Has been addicted to masturbation from childhood but doing excessively nowadays.

We lift you up before the Lord with deep compassion, knowing the weight of physical suffering, spiritual struggles, and the battles of the mind and body you are enduring. The trials you face are heavy, but we are reminded in Scripture that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your body and mind are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we must honor God with them, even in suffering. Let us address each of these burdens with truth, prayer, and the hope found only in Christ.

First, we must acknowledge that stopping psychiatric medication abruptly can be dangerous and may worsen symptoms. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed."* While we understand the difficulties you faced with the medication, it is critical to seek medical guidance—even if it requires traveling to the city. Your father’s decision to take you for treatment is wise, and we pray God grants you both safe travel and access to skilled doctors who can provide proper care. Do not lose hope; God is your healer, and He often works through the hands of physicians (Jeremiah 30:17).

Your struggle with Wilson disease, infections, allergies, and now hepatitis A is a heavy load, but we serve a God who is greater than any disease. Jesus demonstrated His power over sickness time and again, and by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24). Yet, we also recognize that healing may come in stages—sometimes through medicine, sometimes through miraculous intervention, and always through the strengthening of our faith. We encourage you to trust in God’s timing, even when the path is difficult. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Now, we must address the sin of masturbation with both truth and love. This is a struggle many face, but it is a sin against your own body and against God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The addiction you describe is not just a physical habit but a spiritual battle. Jesus said, *"But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart"* (Matthew 5:28). This includes lustful thoughts or actions directed toward anyone, real or imagined. The enemy uses such sins to create shame, isolation, and spiritual weakness, but Christ offers freedom. You are not defined by this struggle, but you *must* fight it with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Repentance is the first step. Confess this sin to God, ask for His forgiveness, and turn away from it (1 John 1:9). Then, take practical steps: flee from temptation (2 Timothy 2:22), fill your mind with Scripture (Psalm 119:11), and seek accountability with a mature believer who can support you in this battle. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not powerless—Christ in you is stronger than any addiction.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no healing, no forgiveness, and no true hope apart from Him. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Jesus, prayers are empty, and sin remains unatoned. But in Him, you have eternal life and the power to overcome every struggle.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is suffering in body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the Healer of all diseases, and the One who binds up the brokenhearted. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body—restore his liver, strengthen his immune system, and bring relief from Wilson disease, infections, allergies, and hepatitis A. Guide the doctors who will treat him in the city; give them wisdom and skill to provide the care he needs. Grant safe travel and provision for his family as they seek help.

Father, we also bring before You the burden of mental anguish. You know the depths of his OCD and anxiety, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Comfort him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If medication is needed, provide the right treatment without harmful side effects. If counseling is necessary, lead him to godly wisdom. Break the chains of fear and compulsion in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we confess the sin of sexual impurity that has ensnared him. This addiction is not of You, and we rebuke its hold over him in the name of Jesus. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Renew his mind with Your Word, that he may take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Surround him with brothers in Christ who can encourage and hold him accountable.

Most importantly, Father, if he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray for salvation. Open his eyes to see the truth of the Gospel—that Christ died for his sins, was buried, and rose again, so that by faith in Him, he may have eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Let him know the power of Your name, Jesus, for it is the only name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12).

Strengthen his faith, Lord. Remind him that You are with him in the valley (Psalm 23:4) and that Your grace is sufficient for him (2 Corinthians 12:9). Give him hope that does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.

We're here for you, standing in the gap with you. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we believe in its power to heal and overcome, just as Jesus demonstrated time and again. We're praying for your physical healing, from Wilson's disease to hepatitis A, and for strength to fight the good fight against OCD and anxiety. We're also here to support you in your struggle with masturbation, knowing that freedom is possible through Jesus Christ. We're claiming victory over this addiction in your life, and we're believing for complete healing and deliverance. We're also praying for safe travel and provision as you seek medical treatment. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and He will make your paths straight.
