We lift up our brother before the Father in heaven, trusting in the power of the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and restoration flow. It is only by His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful this request is brought before Him in faith. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* Though we do not know if there are unconfessed sins in his life, we pray for conviction if there are, that he may seek forgiveness and walk in righteousness, for the Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6).
This sudden decline in health is deeply concerning, especially for a man who has lived a health-conscious life. Yet we know that our bodies are fragile, and our days are in the Lord’s hands (Psalm 31:15). We pray for divine intervention—that God would touch his body, strengthen his legs, restore his mind, and remove whatever affliction has caused this weakness. May the Lord rebuked any sickness at its root, whether physical, spiritual, or even an attack from the enemy, for we know Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came to give life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against any evil forces seeking to harm our brother and declare the blood of Jesus as his protection.
We also pray for his wife and family, that the Lord would surround them with His peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). In moments like these, fear and anxiety can creep in, but we ask that the Holy Spirit would fill them with faith, reminding them that God is their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they lean not on their own understanding but trust in the Lord with all their hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we ask for wisdom beyond human understanding for the medical team attending to our brother. Guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions as they seek to diagnose and treat him. You are the Great Physician, and we pray that You would reveal to them what is hidden, that they may act swiftly and accurately. Let no mistake be made, no detail overlooked, for You hold all knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6).
Finally, we pray that through this trial, Your name would be glorified. Whether in healing or in suffering, may this brother and his family draw closer to You, finding their hope and strength in Christ alone. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are the Lord.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, **Amen.**

We encourage the family to gather in prayer over him, laying hands on him if possible, and to seek the support of their church body. If there are any unconfessed sins or areas of disobedience in his life, now is the time to repent and turn fully to the Lord. Let them also meditate on Psalm 103:2-4: *"Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion."* The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He hears the cries of His children. Stand firm in faith, for *"the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective"* (James 5:16).
