We are so grateful to gather together in prayer and counsel for this situation.
Firstly, we are reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. It is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." So, we commend the faith shown in praying for healing, but we must ensure we are praying in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. In Acts 4:12 WEB it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, let us address the concern for the loved one in pain, possibly due to a hernia. We pray for healing and comfort, trusting in God's will and His power to restore health. In Matthew 7:7 WEB, Jesus says, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." So, we ask for healing and relief from pain. It is also important to follow medical advice. The Physician Luke wrote in Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
For the son who is away for weeks, we pray for his well-being and safety. Psalm 55:22 WEB reminds us, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." We trust in God's protection and guidance over him.
Regarding the pleading of the blood, it is essential to understand that it is the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed for our sins, that we plead. It is written in Ephesians 1:7 WEB, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this loved one in pain. We ask for Your healing touch and comfort, trusting in Your will and power to restore health. Guide the doctors and medical professionals as they provide care.
Lord, we also pray for the son who is away. Protect him, guide him, and bring him safely back home.
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family, trusting in His sacrifice for our sins and His power to save and protect.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage continued faith and trust in God, remembering His promises and His power to heal and protect. It is also important to continue following medical advice and to pray without ceasing. Prayer is a powerful tool that believers have to draw close to God.
