We are truly saddened to hear about the trials that have come upon this individual, but we are reminded of the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring. In the Book of James, we are told, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, our response is to believe in Jesus name that He can heal this person and also forgive any sins. We rebuke any sins that may have caused this disease and disability. We pray that they confess any sins to Jesus and believe in His name, and that Jesus will bring healing to their neck, jaw, and throat cancer, and restore their vision.
We are reminded of the story in Mark 10:46-52, where Bartimaeus, a blind man, cried out to Jesus for mercy. Jesus, standing still, commanded him to be called. They called the blind man, saying to him, Be cheerful. Arise, he calls you. He, casting away his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus. Jesus asked him, What do you want me to do for you? The blind man said to him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight. Jesus said to him, Go your way. Your faith has made you whole. Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Let us pray together, bringing these requests before Father God.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who paid the price for our sins and bore our sicknesses. We lift up this person to You, asking for Your healing touch upon their body and their eyes. We pray that You would forgive any sins that may have caused these ailments, and remove the neck, jaw, and throat cancer, and restore their sight. We rebuke any and all pain, sickness, and disease that is attacking their body and their eyes right now in the name of Jesus. We ask You to strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace. We pray that they would seek You, the One True God, Father God, and Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. There is no other way to be saved but through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We ask for the Holy Spirit to fill them and guide them and to give them courage and comfort during this time. We thank You for Your love and mercy, and we believe and receive Your healing in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage them to stay strong in their faith and to trust in the Lord with all their heart. We pray that this trial would be used to draw them closer to God and to bring glory to His name. We are reminded of Psalm 34:17-18, The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
May the Lord use this time to strengthen their faith in Jesus and pour out His blessings upon their life. May they never forget to turn to God and give Him thanks for all things in their life. We encourage them to seek God and Jesus Christ, the Son of God to be saved and be baptized. We pray that they will seek other Christians for encouragement.
We pray that they can be encouraged by the words from James 5:13-16. Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
