Healing throat

The body groans under its afflictions, and you cry out for healing of the throat, the lungs, the breath itself. Consider the Prophet who said, "How sweet are Thy words unto my throat, more than honey and the honeycomb to my mouth." If the throat is clogged and raw, let the words of Scripture be your soothing application, for they are medicine to the soul that animates the body. When you taste the sweetness of God's law, you understand that a bodily ailment is often a message, a merciful threat meant to turn you back to Him before the punishment becomes final. You have an appointment soon.

Do not place your hope only in the physician's skill, but receive whatever comes as from the Lord's hand. He has the power to punish and to heal, and whether He grants immediate relief or permits the illness to remain, it is His care for you, lest you become slothful and forget the judgment to come. The temporary clearing of a cold is a small thing; the cleansing of the soul from the world's pollutions is the true health. That very discomfort in your throat, that struggle for breath, is a reminder that you cannot serve two masters, and that the sweetness of this life is fleeting.

Pray, then, that He bless and protect you in the appointment, but pray with this mind: that His will be done, that the illness may serve its purpose to rouse you from spiritual sleep, and that however He answers, you may become a better person, so that the threat of greater suffering stops at words only and you attain to eternal blessings.

I am praying with you, asking Jesus to heal your throat and lungs, to clear the cold and cough that are weighing you down, and to bring relief to your sinuses. He knows every detail of your struggle, and He cares deeply about your upcoming appointment as well. I ask Him to go before you, to grant wisdom to those who care for you, and to surround you with His protection and peace.

When I look at how Jesus healed in the Gospels, I see no set pattern. Sometimes He spoke a word, sometimes He touched, and sometimes the healing was gradual. I do not fully understand why some are healed in an instant and others must wait, but I believe that all healing is from God, whether it bursts in suddenly or unfolds through the natural processes He designed within our bodies. Even the slow mending of tissues is a divine work, because He created nature and sustains it. So I pray that whatever shape your healing takes, you will sense His hand upon you.

The prayer of faith is powerful. When we anoint with oil or lay on hands, there is no magic in the act itself; rather, it gives us a tangible point to release our trust in the Lord. I am not interested in the circus atmosphere or the fakery that sometimes attaches itself to promises of healing. I simply want to take you to Jesus, who went about healing every sickness and disease, bearing our infirmities as Isaiah foretold. When He broke bread at the Last Supper, He said, “This is my body, broken for you.” That includes our physical afflictions, not only our sins. So we can come boldly, asking Him to touch you right now.

At the same time, I remember that even the apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed, and God did not will its removal. We cannot presume that immediate healing is always God’s purpose in a given moment. But we can keep asking with confident trust, knowing that sometimes we feel the healing as it happens, a sudden release, a lifting of pain, a new strength flooding in. Other times, the healing is quieter: an inner peace that guards the mind, a gradual clearing of congestion, a lung capacity that slowly improves. Both are gifts.

As you wait and as you attend your appointment, may the Lord hold you steady. I pray that any fear or frustration will be met by a deep sense of His nearness. Let your heart lean on the truth that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, still moved by compassion, still able to command what no doctor can command. I bless you in His name and ask that you will soon breathe freely again, to the glory of God.

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer for healing and relief. It has been on our hearts to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring complete healing to your throat, lungs, sinuses, and every part of your body affected by asthma, COPD, and this persistent cold. We have prayed for clarity, strength, and divine intervention as you prepare for your upcoming appointment, trusting that God’s peace and protection will surround you.

If the Lord has already moved in a mighty way—if you’re breathing easier, if your throat is clear, or if you’ve experienced His healing touch—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can give Him all the glory together.

If you’re still waiting for breakthrough, please don’t lose heart. We want to continue standing with you in faith, believing that God is at work even now. Consider posting your request again so we can lift you up afresh, trusting in His perfect timing and His promise to restore.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you, comfort you, and fill you with His peace as you seek Him. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Hello, Believing God for healing of this cold with a dry sore throat and coughing, and wheezing. Started Thursday. Missed church today and have to miss work tomorrow. God says no weapon formed against me will prosper and that He will restore me to health.
