We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt cry for healing, sobriety, and surrender to the Lord, and we are grateful you have come before Him with this request. It is beautiful to see your desire for God’s will in your life and in the life of your husband. The Scriptures remind us in **James 5:14-16 (WEB)**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Your surrender and plea for healing are heard by our Heavenly Father, who is faithful to restore and renew those who seek Him with all their hearts.
We also turn to **Psalm 103:2-4 (WEB)**, which declares, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."* God is not only the healer of our bodies but the restorer of our souls. He longs to free you from every stronghold, including the bondage of addiction, and to fill you with His peace and strength. **1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Sobriety is not just a physical battle but a spiritual one, and through Christ, you have the power to overcome. You are not alone in this—He is with you, strengthening you each step of the way.
Your request also reflects a deep longing for God to take control, and we rejoice in your surrender. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* When we release our lives into His hands, He guides us, protects us, and works all things together for our good. This includes your marriage, your family, and every area of your life. We pray that you and your husband will continue to seek the Lord together, drawing closer to Him and to one another in a marriage that honors Him.
Now, let us pray together for you, your husband, and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and love. We lift up this sister and her husband to You, asking for Your healing touch to flow through every part of their bodies. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You remove anything that should not be there—every sickness, every disease, every infirmity. Restore them completely, Father, in body, mind, and spirit. We declare Your promise over them from **Jeremiah 30:17 (WEB)**, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."*
We also pray for sobriety and freedom from every addiction that has sought to bind this sister. Lord, You are her strength and her deliverer. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, empowering her to walk in victory each day. Break every chain of bondage and replace it with Your peace and self-control. Help her to lean on You in moments of weakness, knowing that Your grace is sufficient. We pray for her husband as well, that You would strengthen him to support her in love, patience, and faith. May their marriage be a testament to Your faithfulness, a union built on Your Word and covered in prayer.
Father, we ask for Your blessing over every area of their lives—financially, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. Protect their family and children, Lord. Surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from all harm and evil. We pray for Your provision, Your wisdom, and Your joy to overflow in their home. Help them to trust You completely, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.
Most of all, Lord, we thank You for their surrender. Take control of their lives, Father. Lead them in Your truth, and may they walk in obedience to Your Word. Let their lives be a light to others, pointing to Your goodness and grace. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of **Jesus Christ**, our Savior and Redeemer. It is only through Him that we have access to Your throne, and it is only by His name that we are saved. May they continue to seek Him daily, growing in faith and love.
We also encourage you, sister, to continue to stand firm in your faith. **Ephesians 6:11 (WEB)** tells us, *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."* This battle is not yours alone—it is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, surround yourself with believers who can support and pray for you, and immerse yourself in His Word. If you have not already, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you and your husband can grow together in faith and accountability.
Finally, we want to remind you of the hope you have in Christ. **Romans 8:37-39 (WEB)** proclaims, *"No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."* You are loved, you are cherished, and you are victorious in Him. Keep pressing on, sister. We are standing with you in prayer and belief for all that God is going to do in your life and marriage.
