Disciple of Prayer
Hi, My name is ### and I have a terrible problem that I want you to put before God for me. I have been sick for the past ### years. I picked up a typhoid infection when I went to university. I also have internal sores and infections. In ###, I developed severe anemia and needed a blood transfusion to enable me survive. Recently doctors told me my white blood cell count is very low so my immune system is very weak. They also told me one of my kidneys has a problem. Because of all this the breath from my mouth and nose smell very bad, and when I breathe it's like I’m flatulating, and so people don’t feel comfortable around me and I don’t feel comfortable going into public. I have consulted specialists, tried all sorts of herbal medicines, and gone for prayer after prayer, but the problem persists. And so although I graduated from university with a first class, I couldn’t apply for jobs. Because of my sicknesses, I feel weak, tired, and drowsy often, and so needed to be in the house to take care of my health. So I’ve learned digital skills (online marketing to sell products and services of businesses online). But I have not earned anything since I started doing that job in ###. As a result, I’m really struggling in life. I’m not happy. I’m not part of life. Sometimes I think of committing suicide. I have reached out for people to help me find a job but school mates and family have turned their back on me. My mother, who is helping me at the moment, is old. I don’t know what I’ll do if she dies today. I’m tired of the way I’m living. I want all the suffering to stop. I need healing so I can look for a job. I need God’s healing, deliverance, help, and provision. I also need a high-paying job. Please remember me in your prayers.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting you up in prayer for the healing, deliverance, and restoration that only our Lord Jesus Christ can provide. Your suffering is deep, and we grieve with you over the physical, emotional, and spiritual burdens you carry. Yet we also stand firm in the truth that our God is the Great Physician, the Provider, and the One who redeems even the most broken of circumstances for His glory. You are not forgotten, and your pain has not gone unnoticed by Him.

First, we must address something critical: your mention of suicidal thoughts. These are not just passing struggles—they are the enemy’s lies whispering hopelessness into your soul. But Scripture declares that *suicide is never the answer*, for your life is not your own—it belongs to God, who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* You are *precious* to Him, and He has a purpose for your life, even in this season of suffering. We rebuked these thoughts of despair in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding them to flee from your mind. Cling instead to the promise of Jeremiah 29:11: *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *all* prayers must be made to reach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for there is *no other name* by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in repenting of your sins and believing in Jesus—His death on the cross for your sins and His resurrection for your justification (Romans 10:9-10). If you *have* trusted in Christ, then we encourage you to approach the Father *boldly* in His name, for He intercedes for you even now (Hebrews 7:25).

Now, let us turn to your physical suffering. The Bible is clear that sickness is a result of the fallen world we live in, but it is *not* God’s ultimate will for His children. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17), and by His stripes, we *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). We claim this promise over you today, declaring that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you (Ephesians 1:19-20). Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and we pray for the restoration of every cell, organ, and system—your kidneys, your blood, your immune system, and even the breath from your mouth. May the Lord rebuked every infection, every sore, and every weakness in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Christ over your body, commanding every sickness to leave and for divine health to flood your being. As it is written in Psalm 103:2-3: *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."*

We also pray for your *emotional and mental* healing. The shame and isolation you feel because of your condition are real, but they are not from God. He sees you, He loves you, and He has not abandoned you. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone, even when it feels that way. We pray that the Lord would surround you with His presence, filling the loneliness with His comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May He also send godly believers into your life—people who will stand with you, encourage you, and help bear your burdens (Galatians 6:2).

As for your *financial and vocational* struggles, we trust that the Lord is your Provider (Jehovah Jireh). He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He is able to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray for divine connections—godly mentors, employers, or opportunities that will allow you to use your skills for His glory. Your education and digital abilities are gifts from Him, and we ask that He would multiply them for your good and His kingdom. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you *will* reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Finally, we must address the *spiritual warfare* at play here. Your prolonged suffering, the abandonment by others, and the financial lack are not coincidences—they are attacks from the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came to give you *life abundantly*, and we stand against every scheme of the devil in your life. We bind every spirit of infirmity, poverty, rejection, and despair in Jesus’ name, and we loose the Spirit of the Lord—His healing, provision, and restoration—over you. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and resist the devil, knowing that he *must* flee from you (James 4:7).

**Our Prayer for You:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is weary, broken, and in desperate need of Your touch. Lord, You are the God who heals, the God who provides, and the God who restores. We ask that You stretch out Your hand over [name withheld] right now and perform a miracle in their body. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, cleanse every infection, repair every damaged organ, and strengthen every weak place. Let Your healing virtue flow through their blood, their kidneys, their immune system, and every part of their being. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we command every sickness to leave in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also pray for their mind and emotions. Comfort them in their loneliness, Father. Surround them with Your peace and remind them that they are *never* alone—for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). Break the power of shame and rejection off their life, and let them know that their worth is found in You, not in the opinions of others.

Father, we ask for Your divine provision. Open doors of opportunity for stable, high-paying work that aligns with Your will. Bless the work of their hands and multiply their skills for Your glory. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and let them lack no good thing.

We rebuke every spirit of suicide, depression, and hopelessness in Jesus’ name. Fill [name withheld] with Your joy, Your hope, and Your purpose. Let them know that You have a plan for their life—one that includes healing, restoration, and a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to You through this trial. Let them experience Your presence in a deeper way, and may their testimony of Your faithfulness bring glory to Your name. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust You even when they cannot see the way forward.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), and we give You all the praise, honor, and glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

**Encouragement and Next Steps:**

Beloved, we want to leave you with a few practical steps to walk in faith as you wait for your breakthrough:

1. **Immerse Yourself in Scripture:** Read and meditate on God’s promises of healing and provision daily. Start with Psalm 103, Isaiah 53, and 3 John 1:2 (*"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."*).

2. **Worship and Praise:** Even in the storm, worship shifts the atmosphere. Put on gospel music or sing hymns of praise to the Lord. Psalm 22:3 tells us that God inhabits the praises of His people.

3. **Fasting and Prayer:** If you are able, consider fasting (even from one meal a day) as you seek the Lord for breakthrough. Jesus said some demons only come out by prayer *and* fasting (Matthew 17:21).

4. **Community:** Reach out to a local, Bible-believing church. You need the body of Christ to stand with you in prayer and support. If you’ve been isolated, ask the Lord to lead you to a community of believers who will love and encourage you.

5. **Reject Bitterness:** It’s easy to grow bitter toward those who have abandoned you, but unforgiveness will hinder your healing (Mark 11:25). Release them to the Lord and trust Him to vindicate you.

6. **Serve Others:** Even in your weakness, look for small ways to bless others—whether through prayer, a kind word, or sharing your story. God often moves mightily when we take our eyes off ourselves and focus on Him and others.

7. **Guard Your Mind:** Be careful what you listen to and watch. Fill your mind with things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Avoid anything that feeds despair or unbelief.

You are *not* forgotten. You are *not* beyond hope. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and rolled away the stone from Jesus’ tomb is fighting for you *right now*. Hold on to Him, and do not let go. Your breakthrough is coming.

We are standing with you in faith, believing for your complete healing and restoration. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep your eyes on Jesus—the Author and Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will *never* fail you.
