We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing—body, mind, and spirit. Your heart for him is evident, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the One who restores what is broken. You have rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace and receive the promises of God. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is in this mighty name that we boldly approach God, trusting in His power to heal and deliver.
The spirit of psychosis you mention is not from the Lord, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). This affliction is an attack from the enemy, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we serve a God who is greater, who has already triumphed over every power of darkness through the cross of Christ. Let us declare together that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for his protection—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. May the Lord surround him with His angels, as He has promised: *"He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). Let every scheme of the enemy be exposed and rendered powerless, and may your son be filled with the knowledge of God’s love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
As you continue to intercede for him, we encourage you to stand firm in faith, not wavering. *"But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways"* (James 1:6-8, WEB). Cling to the promises of God, for He is faithful, and His word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Speak life over your son, reminding him of who he is in Christ—a beloved child of God, redeemed and set free.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see his suffering, and You know the depth of his need. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through every part of his being—body, mind, and spirit. Rebuke the spirit of psychosis and cast it out in the name of Jesus. Let no trace of darkness remain, but fill him instead with Your peace, Your clarity, and Your soundness of mind. Grant him restful sleep, free from torment, and surround him with Your angels for protection.
Lord, we pray that You would break every chain of fear, confusion, and despair that the enemy has tried to place upon him. Let Your light shine into every dark corner of his life, bringing healing and wholeness. Comfort him with Your love, and let him know that he is not alone—You are with him, and You will never leave him nor forsake him.
Strengthen his mother (or father) as she (or he) stands in the gap for him. Fill her (or him) with Your peace and perseverance, knowing that You hear her (or his) prayers and are working all things together for good. Give her (or him) wisdom to know how to support and encourage him in this season.
We declare that Your will be done in his life, Lord—that he would be restored, renewed, and walking in the fullness of Your purpose for him. May this trial become a testimony of Your goodness and power, and may he come to know You more deeply through it.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has authority over all sickness, all darkness, and all the powers of the enemy. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking Scripture over him, and trusting in the Lord’s timing. If there are areas in his life where he may have opened doors to the enemy—through ungodly influences, sin, or rebellion—pray for conviction and repentance, that he may turn fully to Christ. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Remind him that God’s grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Stay steadfast, dear one. The Lord is at work, even when we cannot see it. *"Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen"* (Hebrews 11:1, WEB). Trust in Him, and do not lose heart. We are standing with you in this battle, for the victory is already won in Christ Jesus.
