We join with you in lifting your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing—body, mind, and spirit. Your heart’s cry echoes the deep love of a parent, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and the One who restores what is broken. You have rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace and receive the promises of God. As Scripture declares, *"In none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). What a mighty truth to cling to in this hour!
The spirit of psychosis you mention is not from God, for our Lord is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We rebuke this spirit in the name of Jesus, commanding it to flee from your son, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Let the mind of Christ, who is perfect in wisdom and peace, renew your son’s thoughts (1 Corinthians 2:16). We pray that the Lord would surround him with His angels, as He has promised: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). May your son experience the peaceful sleep that comes from resting in the arms of the Father, free from torment and fear.
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and Scripture over him. The Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and it has the power to break every chain. Consider reading Psalm 91 over him daily, declaring God’s protection and provision. Remind your son of the Lord’s promises, such as *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). If he is able, encourage him to meditate on Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Let us also lift you up, dear parent, for this burden is heavy, and the enemy would love to weigh you down with fear or discouragement. But take heart! The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He hears your prayers. Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not alone in this fight—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Host of Heaven stands with you. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep declaring the victory that is already won in Christ Jesus.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting this precious son to Your throne of grace. You knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every thought, every fear, and every need he faces. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to flow through his body, restoring every cell, every organ, and every system to perfect health. By the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we declare that truth over him now.
We bind and rebuke the spirit of psychosis in the mighty name of Jesus. This spirit has no authority here, for Your Son has already triumphed over every power and principality (Colossians 2:15). We command it to leave and never return, and we ask You, Holy Spirit, to fill every empty space with Your peace, Your joy, and Your soundness of mind. Renew his thoughts, Lord, and let him fix his eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Father, we pray for protection over him—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Surround him with Your angels, and let no weapon formed against him prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard his sleep, Lord, and let it be deep and restorative, free from nightmares or disturbances. Fill his dreams with Your presence and Your promises.
We also ask for wisdom for his parents and caregivers. Guide them in every decision, and let them walk in Your discernment and strength. Comfort their hearts, Lord, and remind them that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Let them see Your hand moving in this situation, and may their faith be strengthened as they wait on You.
Finally, Father, we pray that Your love would overwhelm this son. Let him know, beyond any doubt, that he is cherished by You, that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that You have a hope and a future for him (Jeremiah 29:11). Draw him closer to You, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and power.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
