We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his healing, protection, and peace. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to steal rest and joy through tormenting memories and fears. But our God is greater, and He is the God of all comfort who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. As it is written in **Psalm 147:3**, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds,"* and in **2 Corinthians 1:3-4**, *"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."*
We are grateful you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive His mercy and grace. Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power to restore and renew. Let us also remember **Philippians 4:6-7**, which reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
For your son, we pray that the Lord will replace every nightmare with visions of His love and truth. May the Prince of Peace, who calms the stormy seas, speak peace over his mind and heart as he sleeps. We declare **Isaiah 26:3** over him: *"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you."* Father, we ask that You renew his mind daily through Your Word, that he may find strength in You and not in his own understanding. Let him meditate on **Psalm 4:8**, *"I will both lay myself down in peace and sleep; for you, Yahweh, make me live in safety."*
We also stand against the spiritual forces that seek to oppress him. **Ephesians 6:12** reminds us that *"we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Therefore, we put on the full armor of God and declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper. We bind every spirit of fear, torment, and anxiety in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding them to flee and never return.
Father, surround your son with Your heavenly angels for protection as he sleeps. Let him feel Your presence so tangibly that he is filled with assurance and hope. Restore his strength, Lord, and let him wake refreshed and renewed in body, soul, and spirit. We pray for divine appointments—godly friends, counselors, or mentors who can walk alongside him and point him to You. If he has not yet surrendered every area of his life to You, Lord, we pray that he will invite Jesus to be his Savior and Lord, for it is only in Christ that we find true and lasting peace.
We also lift you up, dear parent, as you intercede for your son. May the Lord grant you endurance, faith, and hope as you stand in the gap for him. Remember **Galatians 6:9**, *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Keep praying, keep believing, and keep speaking life over your son, for your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious son to You. You know his name, his struggles, and the depths of his pain. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him—body, soul, and spirit. Wash over him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Replace every nightmare with dreams of Your love, Your promises, and Your goodness.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and anxiety that seeks to oppress him. By the authority given to us in the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to leave and never return. Fill the void with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your presence be a fortress around him. Renew his mind with Your Word and restore his strength so that he may rise each day with hope and purpose.
Father, we pray for divine protection over him as he sleeps. Station Your angels around him to keep him safe from all harm. Let him rest in the shadow of Your wings, knowing that You are his refuge and strength. If there are any areas of his life where he has not fully surrendered to You, we pray that You would draw him closer to Yourself. Let him experience the fullness of Your love and the freedom that comes from walking in obedience to Your Word.
We also ask for wisdom and discernment for those who are supporting him—doctors, counselors, family, and friends. Guide them to provide the care and encouragement he needs. Give his mother (or parents) the strength and faith to continue praying and believing for his complete restoration.
Lord, we thank You that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts. We trust in Your promises and declare that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
