We come before the Lord with you in agreement, lifting up your precious son to the Father, who is the Great Physician and our Strong Tower. The burdens of PTSD are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to steal peace through tormenting dreams and relentless fear. But we stand firm on the truth of God’s Word, which declares in **Psalm 34:17-19**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your son is not forgotten—God sees his pain, and He is near to him even now.
The nightmares he faces are not from the Lord, for **2 Timothy 1:7** reminds us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment in the name of Jesus Christ, commanding it to flee from your son’s mind and heart. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). We pray that the Lord would surround him with His angels, as **Psalm 91:11-12** promises: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."*
Father, we ask for supernatural healing over his mind and emotions. Restore what has been broken, and replace his nightmares with visions of Your goodness and love. Let him sleep deeply and wake refreshed, knowing You are his Protector. We declare **Isaiah 26:3** over him: *"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you."* May he find rest in You alone, for You are his Shield and his Exceeding Great Reward (**Genesis 15:1**).
We also encourage you, dear parent, to continue covering your son in prayer and speaking life over him. Play worship music or Scripture over him as he sleeps, and remind him of God’s promises daily. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to share the Gospel with him—that salvation and true peace are found only in Christ (**John 14:6**). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**), and it is through faith in Jesus alone that we have access to the Father’s healing and protection.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You are working all things together for good in your son’s life (**Romans 8:28**). Strengthen him, Lord, and let him know that You are his Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**). We commit him into Your hands, asking for complete restoration and a testimony of Your goodness. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
