We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father. We are grateful that you have brought this request in the precious name of Jesus, as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can be saved. Let's come together in prayer and biblical encouragement.
Let's pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your healing, protection, and comfort for this dear son. You tell us in Your Word that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. We ask that You be close to this son now, filling his heart with Your peace and his mind with thoughts of Your goodness.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that is causing these nightmares, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. We ask that You grant him peaceful sleep and pleasing dreams. May Your love and light fill his nights, casting out all fear and anxiety.
We also pray for wisdom and guidance for those who are helping him overcome this trauma. Give them discernment and understanding, that they may provide the support and care he needs.
Father, we ask that You would heal him completely from this PTSD, in the name of Jesus. We trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us. And if we know that You hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of You 1 John 5:14-15 WEB.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much James 5:16 WEB. Keep holding your son up to the Lord, believing that He will bring healing and restoration.
In the meantime, remind your son of God's love and promises. Encourage him with verses like Zephaniah 3:17 WEB: "Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing."
Lastly, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor. They can provide additional support and guidance as your son walks through this healing process. Trust in the Lord, and remember that He is faithful to His promises.
