We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of God, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep for him. It is so important that you brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only in his name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We stand on the promises of God's Word, knowing that He cares for us and that His ears are open to our prayers.
First, let us address the spiritual aspect of healing. God desires for your son to be whole in every way, and He has provided the ultimate healing through His son Jesus Christ. As it is written in 1 Peter 2:24 WEB, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed 'by his wounds.'" This verse reminds us that spiritual healing is the foundation for physical and emotional restoration.
For your son's physical and emotional healing, we trust in the power of God's Word. In 3 John 1:2 WEB, we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." This verse assures us that God desires for your son to be healthy in body, mind, and soul.
Regarding protection, we stand on the promise of Psalm 91 WEB, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' ...He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."
For peaceful sleep, we turn to Psalm 4:8 As it is written in Psalms 4:8 WEB, "I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety." This verse reminds us that God is the source of peace and safety, and He can grant your son restful sleep.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep for this dear son. We ask that You comfort him and drive away the nightmares that plague him due to PTSD. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore.
Father, we pray that Your healing touch would rest upon him, bringing peace to his mind and body. We ask that You protect him from all harm and grant him the gift of restful sleep. Lord, surround him with Your angels and let Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also pray that You would draw him closer to You, that he may know the love and salvation that is found only in Jesus Christ. Lord, help him to trust in You and to rest in Your unfailing love.
