We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking the Lord's healing, protection, and comfort for him. We are reminded of the Lord's promises in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine healing and protection for our dear brother in Christ. Lord, You know the struggles he faces due to PTSD, the sleepless nights, and the torment of nightmares. We ask that You would comfort him, heal his mind, and help him sleep peacefully.
We stand on Your word in 2 Thessalonians 3:16, "Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all." We declare peace over his mind and blessings over his life.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and torment that may be causing these nightmares, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, (2 Timothy 1:7). We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ and we ask You Lord to fill our brother with your Holy Spirit and the Fruits of the Spirit including Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
Father, we also pray for his salvation, that if he has not already, he may come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ. May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead, for this is the path to salvation, (Romans 10:9).
We ask for the strength of the Holy Spirit to renew our brother daily. Lord, You have said that in the world we may have trouble, but to take heart, for You have overcome the world, (John 16:33). We trust in Your power to deliver and heal.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Be encouraged, dear saint, for the Lord hears your prayers. Continue to intercede for your son, and trust in the Lord's unfailing love and faithfulness. Remember the words of James 5:16, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective." Stand firm in your faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, (Philippians 4:7).
