We join you in lifting up your need for healing, knowing that our God is the Great Physician who cares deeply for His children. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand in faith with you, trusting in His power to restore your body and remove this affliction.
It is good that you have come before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. As you have rightly done, we must always approach God in Jesus’ name, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Your faith in calling upon Him is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty.
We also recognize that this persistent cough not only affects your physical well-being but also your ability to fulfill your responsibilities with confidence. The Lord sees your struggle and knows the frustration of feeling hindered in your work. Yet we encourage you to remember that even in weakness, His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
However, we must also ask: have you sought wise counsel from medical professionals regarding this sickness? While we believe in the power of prayer and divine healing, the Lord often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to seek medical advice, trusting that God can work through their care as well.
Now, let us pray together for your healing:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we ask that You would remove this sickness from their body. Specifically, we pray against this persistent cough that has caused them discomfort and difficulty in their daily life. By Your power, rebuke this affliction and restore them to full health. Give them strength and patience as they wait upon You, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We also pray for wisdom—if there are steps they need to take, whether through medical care, rest, or other means, guide them clearly. Let them feel Your peace and presence in this season, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we thank You in advance for the healing You are bringing. May this situation bring glory to Your name, and may our brother/sister continue to walk in faith, trusting in Your perfect will. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
