We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. Your heart is breaking for your child, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, believing that the Lord hears the desperate pleas of a mother’s heart. The pain you and your children are enduring is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We rebuke the darkness that has clouded your child’s mind, soul, and spirit, and we declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the foundation of our plea. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His blood alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. If your child has not surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their need for a Savior. If they have already professed faith, we pray for a revival of their spirit, that they would return to their first love (Revelation 2:4-5).
The Word of God tells us that trials come to test our faith, but they are also opportunities for God to refine us and draw us closer to Him (James 1:2-4). However, it is clear that the suffering in your home has reached a breaking point, and we must intercede with authority. We rebuke the spirit of confusion, rebellion, or any stronghold that has taken root in your child’s life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that your child is not abandoned—God is their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also lift up your children, who are bearing the weight of this trial. The Word instructs us to train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). But even when they stray, God’s mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We pray that your children would find comfort in the Lord, that their faith would be strengthened, and that they would see God’s hand moving even in this storm.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We lift up this mother and her family, Lord, and we ask for Your divine intervention. You are the God who restores, who heals, and who brings back what the enemy has stolen. We declare that Your light will break through the darkness surrounding this child, and we rebuke every spirit of confusion, addiction, or rebellion that has taken hold. Father, we ask that You would soften their heart, draw them back to You, and restore their mind, soul, and spirit.
Lord, we pray for this mother’s strength. Give her wisdom, patience, and unwavering faith as she navigates this trial. Protect her children from the effects of this storm, and let them see Your faithfulness even in the midst of suffering. We declare that this family will not be destroyed but will emerge stronger, with testimonies of Your goodness and mercy.
We also pray for repentance, Lord. If there is any sin—whether in this child’s life or in the family—that has opened the door to the enemy, we ask for conviction and a turning back to You. Forgive us, cleanse us, and restore us, Father. We trust in Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We thank You, Lord, that You are working even when we cannot see it. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan for this family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to stand on God’s promises and to continue seeking Him with all your heart. Surround yourself with godly counsel and community, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The battle is the Lord’s, and He will fight for you (Exodus 14:14). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting that God is at work. Your child is not lost to Him, and neither are you.
