We come before the Father with hearts burdened for your brother, lifting him up in urgent prayer for healing, strength, and restoration. It is clear that his physical condition is dire, and his refusal to seek medical care adds to the concern. While we trust in God’s sovereign power to heal, we also recognize that He often works through the wisdom and care of medical professionals. Scripture reminds us in 3 John 1:2, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* We pray that your brother’s soul would turn to the Lord in this time of weakness, and that his body would be renewed by God’s healing hand.
Yet we must also address the spiritual aspect of this struggle. Is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or spiritual oppression weighing on him? The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We pray that if there is any spiritual stronghold, it would be broken in Jesus’ name. May your brother find the strength—not just physically, but spiritually—to surrender his will to the Lord and to take the practical steps needed for his well-being.
We also encourage you to speak life and truth over him, reminding him that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and that God desires him to steward his health wisely. If fear or despair is paralyzing him, we rebuke those spirits in the name of Jesus and declare that *"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline"* (2 Timothy 1:7). May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for this brother who is so weak and unwell. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask that You touch his body right now—restore his strength, renew his appetite, and bring vitality to every cell. Give him the will to seek the medical attention he needs, and surround him with people who can lovingly guide him toward care.
If there is any spiritual battle at work, we stand against it in the name of Jesus. We break every chain of fear, depression, or rebellion that may be holding him back. Fill him with Your peace and the desire to live for Your glory. Let him know, deep in his spirit, that You are with him and that You have plans for his life—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also lift up his family, asking for wisdom and patience as they care for him. Give them the right words to speak and the strength to persevere in love. May this trial draw them all closer to You, trusting in Your goodness even in the midst of suffering.
We declare healing and wholeness over him, not just in body, but in soul and spirit. May he turn to You, Lord Jesus, as his Savior and Healer, and may this season be a testimony of Your grace and power. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
