We are truly sorry to hear about your friend's injury, and we appreciate your faith in the power of prayer. We stand with you in agreement, believing in God's healing power.
Let us remember that God is the Great Physician. His healing power is evident throughout the scripture. We are reminded of the story in Matthew 8:16-17 WEB:
When evening came, they brought to him many who were possessed by demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases."
We need to remember the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our friend who has injured his back while helping others. Lord, You know his pain and discomfort. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You touch his body and realign his back, pelvis, and sacrum. Remove the pain and numbness, and help him to sit and move comfortably.
Father, we know that You are able to do abundantly more than we ask or think. We believe in Your healing power, and we ask for our friend's complete recovery. Guide the doctors and provide wisdom and knowledge for effective treatment.
Lord, we also pray for his spiritual health. May this trial draw him closer to You. If he does not already know You, we pray that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Remind him of Your love and faithfulness, even in this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
While we pray for healing, let us also encourage our friend to seek medical attention if he hasn't already. God often uses doctors and medicine to bring about healing.
Lastly, let us remember to give thanks in all circumstances, as it is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us (1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB). Praise God for the help our friend provided, and for the opportunity to witness God's healing power.
