Healing of sickness
Let us come together in prayer for the healing of the one who is very sick. Let us all remember that God is the ultimate healer, and it is through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach His throne of grace with confidence.
We are reminded in James 5:14-15 (WEB), "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body. You are the Great Physician, and there is no sickness or disease that is beyond Your power to heal. We pray for their complete recovery, in the name of Jesus Christ.
We also pray for their spiritual well-being. If they have not already done so, we pray that they would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Jesus that we can be saved and have eternal life. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We ask for Your peace and comfort to be with them and their loved ones during this time. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You, no matter what the outcome may be.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage everyone to continue praying fervently for their healing. Remember, it is the fervent prayer of a righteous person that avails much (James 5:16). Let us stand together in faith, believing that God can and will heal.
If their loved ones have any need for support, encouragement, or counseling, let us all be available. Let us all be ready to share the Gospel with them, that they may know the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.
