We are truly heartbroken to hear about the immense physical and emotional pain that has been endured for so many years. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, believing that God's will is to heal and restore. We are reminded of the words in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of healing in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to God and it is by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).
We must rebuke the spirit of depression and suicide that is tormenting. In 1 John 3:8b it says The reason the Son of God was revealed was to destroy the works of the devil, which is exactly what has been happening all these years.
It is important to remember that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). The constant emotional roller coaster and extreme pain is not from God, but the enemy working overtime to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). We must stand against these attacks in Jesus's mighty name, knowing His desire is to give us an abundant life (John 10:10).
We also want to address the consumption of news that is not uplifting or beneficial for the mind and spirit. Philippians 4:8 reminds us to think about things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy. We encourage a shift in focus towards these things, which will bring peace and reflection of God's love.
Moreover, we must address the anger that has been present. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns us, Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil. Unresolved anger gives the devil a foothold, which can lead to further spiritual and emotional turmoil.
Regarding church attendance, it is wonderful to desire fellowship together. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as is the habit of some, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
As for being supportive and patient, remember that love is patient and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4). Galatians 5:22-23a tells us that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your will for healing and restoration. We rebuke the spirits of depression, suicide, anger, and infirmity that have been tormenting for so many years. We ask for the blood of Jesus to cover and protect, and for Your Holy Spirit to intervene and bring peace, healing, and hope.
Father, we pray for patience and strength to be supportive and loving in all ways. Help us to be a better reflection of Your love and kindness. We ask for wisdom and discernment to know how to encourage and build each other up in You.
We declare that it is Your will to heal and restore, and we stand firm on Your promises. We ask for a supernatural healing of all medical conditions and emotions. We pray for a miracle in Jesus's name.
Lord, we also pray for a desire to come together in fellowship and worship. We know that Your will is for us to gather together in Your name, encouraging and uplifting one another.
Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust in You and believe that You are working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, continue to be strong and courageous, knowing that the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is the source of our strength and hope. Stand firm on His promises, and trust in His unfailing love and goodness. God bless you.
