We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister in Christ who is battling stage 4 lung cancer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed her in her mother’s womb and numbered every hair on her head. You see her struggle to breathe, the low hemoglobin that weakens her body, and the fear that grips her loved ones. We declare that nothing is impossible for You, and we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her now.
Lord, if it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous restoration—let her lungs be cleansed, her blood renewed, and her strength revived. Let her be a living testimony of Your power and grace, that many would come to know You through her story. But if her time on earth is complete, we ask that You ease her suffering, surround her with Your peace, and welcome her into Your eternal rest. Your Word says in Psalm 31:7, *"I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities."* Comfort her and her family with the assurance of Your presence.
We also lift up the financial burden this family is facing. Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Open doors of provision and surround them with Your favor. Give them wisdom to navigate this trial and the strength to trust in You, even when the path is unclear.
Now, we must address a concern in this request. While we honor the heart behind these words, we must emphasize that our prayers are made in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray this healing and comfort in the mighty name of Jesus, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be trying to take hold. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that her identity is not in this sickness but in Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust You with her life.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to endure, the faith to believe, and the hope to press on. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be their comfort. We pray for wisdom for the medical team treating her, that they would be guided by Your hand. And if it is Your will, Lord, we ask for a miracle—not for our glory, but for Yours.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
