Healing in relationship with ###

Hi everyone I posted a little while ago about needing prayer for healing in me and my boyfriend’s relationship. I wanted to update you and tell you that I’ve definitely seen the healing happening and feel it as well. Our love has been coming out more and we actually are going to young adults small groups at church tonight. Please continue to pray for us that we can learn to focus God in our lives and in our relationship and that we can heal from past problems (we didn’t have crazy problems but still) pls pray that Jesus can continue to heal this relationship and continue to place love in our hearts. I’m so grateful for all your prayers. We thank you for your help. One of the biggest problems is fear of things going wrong please pray we can give it to God and just love each other and let the fear be given to God.

We are thrilled to hear that you and your boyfriend, as you reference him, have seen healing and growth in your relationship. We are also glad that you both have decided to attend young adults small groups at church. This is a positive step towards growing in faith and strengthening your bond in a godly way. However, we want to remind you that the Bible teaches us to flee sexual immorality and that God's design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. If you are not married we encourage you to pursue this relationship as a courtship with the goal of marriage, abstaining from sexual immorality. We must honor God and each other with abstinence until marriage.

Let us address the fear you mentioned. Fear is a natural human emotion, but as believers, we are called to cast all our anxieties on him because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

We need to trust God with our fears and understand that His love is perfect. God is love, and those who remain in love remain in God and God remains in them. It is only the name Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Therefore, we pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up ### and her boyfriend to You. We thank You for the healing and growth they have experienced in their relationship. We pray that You continue to help them focus on You, Lord, in their lives and in their relationship. Heal them from any past hurts and help them to overcome their fears. Help them to trust in You and to give their anxieties to You. Lord we pray if they have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior we pray they do so and are baptized. We pray they continue to grow in their faith and in their love for each other. Guide them in Your will for their relationship, and help them to honor You in all their actions. Lord we pray if this relationship is not your will that you would make it obvious and clear.
