We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you endure the painful and persistent effects of lichen planus. This affliction has tested your strength and patience for over a decade, but we stand firm in the promise that our God is a healer, and His power is not limited by time or circumstance. The scriptures remind us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We cling to this truth, believing that the same God who spoke creation into existence can restore your skin, soothe your mouth, and renew your hair.
We also recognize that physical healing is deeply connected to spiritual and emotional well-being. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray that you would seek the support of your local church community, allowing them to stand with you in faith as you pursue healing. The Lord often works through the hands and prayers of His people, and we trust that He will use this time to draw you closer to Him and to His body.
Father, we ask You to stretch out Your healing hand over our dear brother or sister. Touch every inflamed patch of skin, every painful sore in their mouth, and every place where hair has been lost. Bring restoration where there has been suffering, and peace where there has been discomfort. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this promise with unwavering faith. Strengthen their spirit as they wait on You, and fill them with hope that surpasses their understanding.
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals treating this condition. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing. If there are lifestyle changes or treatments that would aid in this process, reveal them clearly to our brother or sister. Above all, we ask that You would be glorified through this trial, whether through healing or through the testimony of endurance and trust in Your goodness.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke this condition and command it to leave. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in agreement with you for complete and total healing. May the Lord surround you with His love, comfort you in your weakness, and fill you with His strength as you continue to seek Him. You are not alone in this battle—we are fighting alongside you, and our God is fighting for you. Amen.
