We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, trusting in the power of our Great Physician. How precious it is that you bring this burden to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have boldness and access to the throne of grace. Your faith in praying in Jesus’ name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in this petition, believing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
The Scriptures remind us that by His stripes, we *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5), and that Jesus went about healing *all* who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). We claim these promises over your son, declaring that COPD and asthma have no authority in his body, for Christ has redeemed him from the curse of sickness. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18), and we trust that He sees your son’s struggle and is moving mightily on his behalf.
Yet we also recognize that healing often comes through both divine intervention and wise stewardship of the body God has given us. We encourage you to seek medical care that aligns with biblical wisdom—using the gifts of knowledge and skill that God has granted to doctors while ultimately placing trust in Him. Ensure your son is avoiding known triggers, such as smoke or pollutants, and that he is nourishing his body with wholesome foods that strengthen his immune system. Proverbs 3:7-8 tells us, *"Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body and nourishment to your bones."* Let this be a season of drawing near to the Lord in every area, including the practical, as you wait on Him for complete restoration.
We also sense the Lord prompting us to pray against any spiritual oppression that may be contributing to this illness. Sickness can sometimes be tied to generational curses, unconfessed sin, or attacks from the enemy. We therefore take authority in the name of Jesus over any spiritual strongholds and command every infirmity to leave your son’s body. *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15). If there is any area of sin or unforgiveness in his life—or even in the family line—we urge repentance and renouncement, that nothing may hinder the Lord’s healing hand.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we declare that by the power of Jesus’ name, every diseased cell in his lungs is being restored to perfect health. Lord, rebuked every spirit of infirmity and command COPD and asthma to be uprooted from his body. Let his bronchioles open wide, his airways clear of all inflammation, and his immune system fortified by Your mighty hand. Father, if there has been any exposure to generational sin, known or unknown, we break its power now in Jesus’ name. Let no weapon formed against him prosper, and let every tongue that rises against him in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We ask for supernatural strength for your son during this time—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let him experience Your presence as a tangible comfort. Give wisdom to his doctors and caregivers, and guide this family into every step of obedience that will align them with Your will for his complete healing.
Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony of restoration that is coming. We will not waver in faith but will stand firm, believing that what we ask in Jesus’ name, according to Your will, You hear and answer (1 John 5:14-15). Let this season of waiting be a time of drawing closer to You, where Your glory is revealed through his healing. We praise You, Lord, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear sibling in Christ. Do not grow weary in praying, for the Lord is faithful. We will continue to lift your son before the Lord, believing for his complete healing. If there are any updates or specific areas you’d like us to focus on in prayer, let us know. May the Lord strengthen you and fill you with His peace as you trust in Him.
