We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is battling lung cancer and enduring severe abdominal pain. The Word of God reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise today, trusting in God’s power to heal and restore.
It is heartbreaking to hear that the doctors have struggled to detect the issue and that medication has not yet resumed. Yet we know that our God is not limited by human understanding or medical reports. Jeremiah 32:27 declares, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* No, there is nothing too difficult for Him—not even restoring what seems lost or healing what appears beyond repair.
We also take note that this request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and salvation come. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we receive God’s mercy and grace. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If there is any uncertainty about this truth, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone holds the keys to life, healing, and eternity.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved one who is suffering from lung cancer and unbearable pain. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every organ and breathes life into our bodies. We ask You to touch this body with Your healing hand. Restore what has been damaged, revive what has weakened, and bring clarity where there is confusion in their medical care. You know the exact location of every cell, the cause of every pain, and the path to complete restoration. We ask You to make it known to the doctors, to guide their hands and minds, and to resume the necessary treatment without delay.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of sickness and infirmity in the name of Jesus. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this body is healed (1 Peter 2:24). Let Your healing virtue flow through every part of their being—lungs, abdomen, and every organ—bringing wholeness and strength.
Lord, we also pray for their faith to be strengthened in this trial. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. If there is any fear, doubt, or anxiety, we ask You to replace it with trust in Your sovereignty and goodness.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May this trial be a testimony of Your power and faithfulness, not only to this beloved one but to all who witness their journey.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Keep your heart open to His leading, and do not lose hope. He is with you in this battle, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). If you have not already, we urge you to confess any sin in your life, as unconfessed sin can hinder prayer (Psalm 66:18). Repent and turn to Jesus, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Stand firm in faith, and let us know how we can continue to pray for you. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you in the name of Jesus.
